Does anyone know what the point of the Caladbolg sword for Tidus is for?

It has the ability "no AP"

and Tidus doesn't gain any Ap when he has it on. How stupid is this sword?

I'm in the calm lands and doing a lot of crap around here.

It's his ultimate weapon...

y'see, each character's ultimate weapon comes with the no AP status thing...

and each one has a crest and a sigil or something... named after planets (mars, venus, etc, duh)... and what you gotta do is get the right crest and sigil, and go to this thingy in that weird blue-ish forest (you gotta have the magical mirror too, I think) and it will "imbue" the ultimate powers into the weapons...

but Tidus' sigil or crest (one of the two) is very hard to get... y'gotta do something with the chocobo races on the calm lands...

i raced that guy and got it down to 4.9 seconds.

that's my record right now.

i got a lot of crap from that aeon lady in remiem temple but i still can't get through the sealed gate behind her.

I'm guessing i'm going to have to come back there afterwords, so i moved on.

Where do you get Auron's ultimate weapon?

Speaking of Tidus' ultimate weapon... I got it today :p (and I mean all powered up and stuff)... I got the 0:0.0 on like my... maybe 7th try... it was quite easy... each time I raced my time went further down and further down and then it hit 0 :p

AURON'S MASAMUNE

This is the first I got... It's in that Mushroom rock road I think it's called... Remember when you go through it the first time (on the pilgrimage) and there's a guy blocking this one road saying that the road isn't finished yet or whatever? Well once you get the airship, go back there... and I am guessing you have that mirror thing...

well what you do is go down that road, and you'll come to one of those rocks that act as an elevator...

go up, then stick the rusty sword (found near that cave where you get Yojimbo or whatever, just past the calm lands) into the little statue place... and use the mirror on the area of the wall with the symbol on it...

mehopes that's not too complicated :p

then the mars crest is somewhere on the highroad (Djose Highroad, I think, but I'm not sure) and the Mars Sigil you get from doing monster catching things...

you get any 10 area conquest (capture all the enemies in a certain area) or species conquest (capture all the enemies of a certain species... y'know, how some enemies have the same look, but are stronger, in a different area, and maybe have a couple different attacks and stuff) special monsters at the monster trainer guy and he'll give it to you as a prize...
