A lot of people have been using the increase/lower rep button more often lately. But it's being used out of spite.

You should add to or lower people's rep for each post. But have a good reason for it. Don't add insulting messages and don't lower rep for no good reason. We don't want to start a war.

Umm... I mean, actually... every negative rep I get takes away a little piece of my soul... The thought of somebody not liking me or my actions truly hurts, and I'd like to do anything possible to correct things so everybody loves me like they should...

You can just go to your profile and it tells you who gave you rep and stuff instead of asking if it was a joke or not :sneaky:

BTW, Deathshand mentioned you can see who gave you rep and stuff in your profile. Is that in your public profile or your user cp? I dont think anyone has given me -/+ rep yet, but Id like to be able to see it when they do, and I dont know where to find it. Is that what the referels are?

Just click on the user cp button. If anyone has given you reputation points (negative or positive) it will appear in a table on that page. If not I don't think it will show.

It's in your User CP. Referalls are when you show this site to your friends and they register using a special link indicating you refered them.

Am I the only person who feels that rep is useless and a total waste? And to think that people actually care so much about it... I guess it makes them feel superior to other people just because they don't have as much rep. :rolleyes:

No, there are different reputation groups you are in, depending on your rep level. You can get and do certain things depending on your reputation level.
