Yes, it is, and from probably one of the best Presidents the US has ever had. If you can't see the value in that quote, I honestly feel sorry for you.

interesting, but how about the critic that points out how the hero can improve? What of those who suceed on their first try? Are they not heroes as well?

Anyway, my sig is long enough as it is. I just found is very poignant and thought people might like to read something constructive.

I agree with Dylflon, why not just post this in the general talk thread? I mean...duh....instead of making a brand new thread. The General Talk thread is supposed to be for stuff like this, where it doesnt deserve its own thread, but you feel you want others to see it.

It's not like he's spamming the boards. This is just a forum afterall, I don't know why people make such a big fuss out of little things like this. I have in the past.....so I guess that makes me a hypocrite, but I don't understand why I did it either..
Anyway, I think that the quote deserves its own topic. :)

BTW, the fact that there is even a General Talk thread on a forum is hilarious. The fact that this thread gets criticized while the General Talk thread gets page after page is a warning sign that our educational system has failed miserably. I won't even bring up the idiotic "Bush Found Dead" thread that has two pages. Later.

If I remember correctly, aren't you a substantial contributor to those two pages of the "bush found dead' thread that was supposed to be a harmless play on words. And what are you talking about? The educational system is responsible for people's sense of humour taking precidence over a thread that seems to be somewhat self righteous in the relay? And don't take it personally, that's just the vibe I got.
