Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl; SuperFriend Code Edition

Sorry, but Ike's final smash is so damn cheap.

There is literally no way to recover from it. Thus, the phrase *final* smash?

Every time I get final smashed by Ike, I want to smash the living hell out of my Wii and TV.

Comparing to other's like Lucario's. Which is so easy to dodge and escape from. Kirby's is pretty stupid too.

Least favorite character to use: Diddy. I can't do a thing with him. His moves are too weak, his specials too cumbersome.

Least favorite character to fight against: Lucas, Meta Knight or Ike. Depends on how good the player is of course. Meta Knight is in here because I once did 5 matches with an almost invincible one. He shamed me so much, it was terrible. Could barely do a thing.

Least favorite stages: Electroplankton and New Pork City. Oh and the DK stages.

Most annoying final smash: Like most have said, the FS of the Star Fox characters. So powerful and hard to dodge.

Most useless final smash: Jigglypuff's. I've never seen anyone get killed by that (unless it's some retarded CPU). After that, Mario's.

I think you can recover from Ike's FS if you hit your shield right when you land on the ground. I think I managed once, but it's hard.
By the way, if you don't have like 25% dmg already, it probably won't knock you out of the level.

The thing is Ike's final smash has a range so you can just try and avoid it and unlike Marth's which has an upward swing.

The Star Fox's final smash is strong because it stays on the stage forever, on some stages it is damn near avoidable (like Final Destination) and it shoots lasers while being able to fly off the stage so its almost impossible not to get killed unless you have some fun dodging skills.

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl; SuperFriend Code Edition

I cannot believe the hate for Electroplankton - it's one of the best stages in the game!

Least favorite character? Link. Made worthless.
Least favorite to face when opponent is a spamming n00b? Pikachu.

Worst stage? 75m and New Pork City - draw

Most annoying smash? In my control, Ice Climbers. Kills no one. Only Mario's is more useless. Most annoying to face is easily Landmaster.

you should have waited for the bombs to spawn in sudden death ;)

Ike's final smash is not impossible to dodge, GM.

Also, I forgot to add Meta Knight.. if I'm using Ike against an expert Meta Knight user, I don't think I'd win.

Haha I don't know if anyone here knows this but Meta Knight is generally banned in "serious" tournament play of brawl.

Brawl is kind of the laughing stock of fighting games.

Melee on the other hand took some serious technical skill to be good. I miss Melee.

I'll drink to that. Brawl is a serious step backwards for what was a great fighting series.

Hopefully Smash 4 will bring back the glory.

I don't know... I think I enjoy Brawl more than Melee.
I think its the online as crappy as it is... allows me a new set of oppns such as Geo.
More characters (especially since I like using Lucario, Snake and ROB). And more stages. Would be nice if could play custom stages online.

Oh and the music...t he collection of sweet music.

What is everyone's favorite song?
Favorite song to Brawl to? (Doesn't have to be same as favorite)
Least favorite tune.
Stage with best music?

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl; SuperFriend Code Edition

Melee is easily better than Brawl. Just because it happened to be developed during a time when online play is simpler than ever does not make it better. Just like Mario Kart DS pales in comparison to MK64.
- If Metaknight is banned, Snake should be, too.
- Best song, Bramble Blast or Calling to the Night.

In my experience it's impossible to go back to a previous SSB game. When I play SSBM, I get bored almost instantly. I don't like the higher speed and there aren't enough characters I am good with.

Favorite song, I have no idea. So many great ones, like some Zelda remixes.

There is something very wrong, then.

The only character I really like in Melee is Link. And I used to play Roy a lot.

SSBB has so much more. The improved graphics really enhance the atmosphere for me. Better items, beter physics (incl. speed), more variation.

I didn't use online as an argument, good huh? :)

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl; SuperFriend Code Edition

Ugh, I hate brawl. They butchered everything that was great about Melee IMHO. Brawl is a party game, pure and simple. Which is great if you want to play a party game.

You might want to try Marth next time you play melee ang, much better then link and roy.

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl; SuperFriend Code Edition

I like turning items off and then having one of the opponents fight as King Dedede. Then the only way for a Smash Ball to come out is for him to throw it.

In fact, my favorite battle period is Final Destination Bowser vs. Dedede no items. So much fun.
