I didn't know that was old. Is the height limitation still 125?

I never make sigs over 125 anyway. I hate tall sigs. They are so ugly.

I think Null's current sig is nice. The render although it looks like it's crackling, is blended in well, and blended enough to create a certain effect.

Sometimes things are done on purpose.

Null... how is getting 3dsm going?

I was wondering if you had done that render yourself....

3dsm is fun to play with.

Null 03-11-2005 08:18 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

i do believe it was shorter then 125 before that. They used to change it all the time. as far as i know they dont really have a specific limit on it anymore, unless its obviously huge and takes up the entire screen.

oh sure, now that i've altered my current already. lol

and i havnt had a ton of time with it, the render in this one is done from a few different layers, one being a background i've had on my computer for a long time. other layers were mine.
but im gunna start workin with 3ds some more this weekend, first time i'll really have a chance to play with it. first couple tries went pretty well tho. lot of learning to do on that program tho.

Just because you do something on purpose doesn't mean it will look good. ;)

And I like the shorter version of the sig. I'm just thinking that a smooth green techy/abstract bg doesn't fit in with the WoW render.

So are you marketing Communism?

Because if history has taught us anything, its that Communism is very good on paper, but bad in practice.

What? Nothing?

Not even a broken image icon?

Damn it, filebin is killing me. Good hosting is so hard to find.

Null 03-20-2005 04:46 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

nope, nada, nothing.

good hosting is easy to find if your just looking for picture to be hosted. lol. but i think your hosting them off a webpage arent ya?

Nope, I was using www.thefilebin.com, which has so far been good hosting. I don't know what happened. People on other forums can see my stuff, but both times I've tried to host stuff here, no one can see it.

I'm using graffiti to host it now.

I think we should make a thread and sticky it with all the free hosting places we can find. That would be very usefull.

I have a photobucket account. I have so many accounts on so many different hosting websites that it's crazy.

Does photobucket have a bandwidth limit?

Interesting.

Maybe it has to do with browser settings? That's odd.

Null 03-20-2005 07:01 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

no, more then likely it was there, then the host did something and then it wouldnt show up.
i had checked in a 2 other web browsers, the pics wernt there.

they're either there or thier not. one picture isnt going to not load and the rest load cuz of settings.

I have found out why germy could see it and you couldn't, Null.

It seems, from what we have found at other forums, that some people's firewall's block filebin for some reason.

depends on the ports its sent out on and no, mine doesnt block it. (that and the computer/network i was using at that time didnt have a firewall) sorry. :P
i really dont think germ woulda been able to see it either if he was looking at the exact same time i was.

Vampyr 03-21-2005 01:07 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

It's just odd because at other forums, people have used filebin as a host, and someone would post being able to see it, then someone wouldn't be able to, and it would go on like that, with some people seeing it and some people not seeing it. And things like that would happen in the span of minutes, not days.

Null 03-21-2005 01:13 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

i says we all just never use filebin again and be done with it. lol

I say I'm selling hosting for 500 doubloons.

Gets you http://NAME.rasengan.net
200megs space
100,000megs of bandwidth

Good stuff really...

Vampyr 03-21-2005 03:40 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

500 doubloons, and I get that? Or do I have to pay like 500 a month or something?

I'm definatly interested.

How many doubloons do you want, and how would I access my account, and what would be the url for my stuff?

Null 03-21-2005 04:07 PM

Re: Signiture & Avatar Display

lol. doubloons. no one yet realizes they dont do anything for you :P

and no, comcast doesnt have a set limit, although i think somewhere in the fine print it mentions about they can put one in place at any given time if they see an extremely excessive amount by someone.

The standard URL would be: http://home.comcast.net/~zalu_ragar/filename
