I figured I'd support the Music Battle by changing my desktop.

Can someone tell me what each outfit is supposed to be representing about the given artist? For example, Paul is wearing no shoes, and John is wearing a white suit.

Well..that ties into the "Paul is Dead" thing. Paul is wearing no shoes because he's "dead", John is the Priest, George is the gravedigger, and I guess Ringo is just a person there. Paul is also out of step with the other three. That's just from my memory, it could be wrong, but there are sites about this stuff. Here is one.. http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/3674/pid.html

It's quite interesting.

I have a question about this.....so the speculation is that he was dead....so how is he in these pictures?

Or perhaps his death was faked?

Perhaps it was a media ploy, so they could just find things that would seem that they fit.

I read the article, and it messes a couple things up to try make sense.

One of them, the picture says : " I you was"

But the caption reads: Page 3; A sign sits on the desk in front of Paul that reads "I WAS YOU."

So it twists truth and plays with your mind, because you remember seeing the words, but not in that particular order.

Paul is still alive, I saw him in concert in 2001. Fun to read the crazy interpretations though, kids these days.

No..that was a thing that the Beatles sort of made up. And if you think it's kids these days, you'd be wrong too. The kids of the baby boom generation were teens when the Beatles came out, and they were the ones who found this out. The Beatles left all those clues purposely though.

humors me too. i cant stand the mac desktop. if anything i'd like to make my windows look like my linux desktop.

IMO, linux (KDE) has the most funtional one, Mac has the most pretty one, and windows lies in between.

only thing i like off mac is the top menubar, but linux has that too and i can customize it in linux. im not sure about mac, can you put your own menus in the mac one?

gekko 07-13-2004 11:24 AM

Re: post yer desktop

No, the menus are part of each individual app. Just like they are in windows, but this way you don't have to have the application inside of a window all the time.

well, mine ATM, i lost my nice penguins backround in my reformat over the weekend. have to get it back. was a nice white one with a group of penguins saying 'we seem to have lost our igloo" :)

but anywho. thats my menubar at the top. still gotta tweak it and give it a better skin. but i like having my own menus then no matter what window is open i can open up a new program or such without going to the desktop.

I have a Mac. It's just nice to dress up my gaming PC so I don't have to look at its ugly face.
