Re: Iowa Republican Debate
Big debate tonight on ABC in Iowa.
Will Gingrich implode? Will Rick Perry forget his own name? Will Romney say hell or heck? |
Re: Iowa Republican Debate
I'm pretty sure Rick Perry's comment when he says he asks for your vote if your 21, pretty much takes the cake as dumbest comment. We have had some very dumb quotes from these idiots, but this one wins. What an idiot!
If the Republicans nominate anyone but Romney this will be a HUGE victory for Obama. It wont even be close. |

Also, add in Rubio as a VP running mate and Republicans pull away some of the Latino vote and Florida is solidly a red state. In PA, there is a movement to restructure the allocation on electoral votes (proportionate as opposed to all or nothing) and that could have a huge impact as well. |
Re: Iowa Republican Debate
It's funny how the call to return to a gold standard was so easily scoffed at in the face of trillion dollar daily transaction markets.
Watch as Paul gets put into office, gets voted down by democrats in his attempt to reestablish basic human rights, and then has to deal with a rogue pentagon as he tries to cut imperial expenditures. However, Ron Paul's accountability measures seem like the logical conclusion in a currency-by-demand system that lends every privately printed issuance with an attached rate of interest. When we look at the ability to purchase gold right now, it is only the market [de]regulators who have won, as their currency hoarding has allowed for massive gold acquirement. In fact, public debt has basically given banks the ability to secure gold, as they performed predatory loan methods and became sooooo big that they had to be bailed out by the masses of tax paying workers. Good for Chavez, getting his nation's gold reserves the hell out of Britain. If we switch to a gold standard now, who does that benefit? Probably the people with all the effing gold. Too bad Canada sold pretty much all of its bricks. would people actually vote for a third party candidate? 81% polled said yes.. |
Re: Iowa Republican Debate
There are just too many debates. Everyone is just repeating themselves, and best case scenario the candidates can avoid making gaffes and misstatements. If I were running I would concentrate on campaigning and avoid future debates. There is no up-side to it until the field is down to 2 or 3 people.

Re: Iowa Republican Debate
I think Rick Perry may actually be legally retarded...
|
Re: Iowa Republican Debate
He is a legitimately incompetent debater. I think most of us could easily do better than him with zero preparation.

Re: Iowa Republican Debate
One thing I've noticed so far in the debates and polls: How far the social conservatives have fallen. They are borderline irrelevant. I understand that Gingrich and Romney hold socially conservative views, but they are not the "champions" of soc cons like Bachman, Santorum, or that Perry pretends to be.
Pragmatic Libertarian views seem to be ruling the party right now, and I am very happy to see it. |
