Doubloons aren't taken away for you just so that you have a 0 in your profile. Taking them away is supposed to affect you somehow. If you hadn't done whatever it is that got a moderator to dock your doubloon count, you'd be able to enter the contest. It's that simple.

What I'd suggest you do now is find out who did it and why. Moderators are theoretically supposed to inform each other when somebody gets doubloons taken away.

Thanks xantar, I'll see what I can do.:)

Or, why don't you just make a really good post so you get dblns??!!??!!

newname 04-09-2002 04:39 PM

I am allowed to do that? Cool.

What is considered a good post though?

And remember, there's a 50 doubloon fee for entering contests.
Xantar, I was thinking about a fee as well...but yesterday I noticed that lEatHErFaCe69 had no dblns. If he gets doubloons by then, I'll do it. Hey, I'm sure I heard talk about borrowing dblns...so there may be hope yet.

And you're going to put the thread in the Fight Club Forum, right D-RealJos? You're not going to make me move *ahem* I mean make Justin or Kitana move the topic, are you?
Last time I put the thread on the Gen board, and it was moved to the events board(or something)...that place was virtually deserted. I got 29 entries, but I imagined I'd have gotten much more, had it stayed where I put it. Many of the replies I got, came from people I PMed, anyhow. I think mods need to take those things into consideration and stop being so strict about where a thread suppose to be. (It's not like confusion about where to put a topic happens that much.)

In any event, I'm going to put it in either the Gen board or the GC board(most likely). If it's moved, I suggest who ever move it, better lock it while they're at it... or I will. :mad2:

Not that I must have things my way or no way at all, but we have to be practical sometimes. I want as much people as possible to enter... the more fun we'll all have in return. Simple!

PS: I just came up with a pretty cool enhancement to the contest, it'll be revealed when I post the contest rules and regulations.

Thanks D-realJos, your so kind to me unlike other people on this site. Once I get my doubloons back and others ones too I will give some to you for your generosity towards me.

D-RealJos, if you're the one who gave Leatherface those doubloons he has right now, I must ask you what you are thinking. Now, I'm not a moderator any longer, but people are supposed to be penalized when they lose doubloons. If that means that they can't participate in contests, then so be it. Moderators don't take doubloons away lightly. There must have been a pretty good reason for it. It might have been because Leatherface was post-cramming lately. It might have been because he flamed me in the Treasure Trove Forum. You do know that he has done both of those, right?

This is not a communist board. Not everybody has the right to post here, and not everybody has the right to participate in contests. I must ask you, once again, what you are thinking. You cannot make up the rules of a contest just to accommodate somebody who has been penalized by the staff. It simply isn't your call to make.

As to the issue of the forum, you don't seem to recall exactly what happened, so I'll refresh for you. The topic was posted in the special E3 Forum which was created just for the event. That forum was dead because just about everything that had to do with E3 could be discussed in some other forum. Moreover, the E3 Forum was a temporary one. Everybody knew that it would disappear after E3. The same is not true about the Fight Club Forum. People will see your topic in there. In fact, if you post an announcement (or get somebody to post an announcement), you will make sure that everybody who is interested will find their way to the Fight Club Forum and read your topic. You can even get Neo to post something in the News Ticker. I'm sure he'll do it.
