how many episodes are there?

i have 1 to 16 but i haven't watched em yet.

Is the series like traditional FF(stuff like death, love, the meaning of life)?

There are 25 in all. The series ended in Japan on March 26.

Note: I seemed to make it sound better than it actual is. This is not a very good anime. From their setup it seems it would make a better game than a show.
