And will it work without a WiFi hotspot when you're close to the PS3?

And I saw A Love Song For Bobby Long, with an old John Travolta in New Orleans. Good movie.

Do you need to leave your ps3 turned on too?

As long as your PS3 is plugged in I assume there's always some power going to it. Remote Start-Up is pretty doable nowadays. Otherwise, to answer your question, yes you do and Sony is gay.

No. Your PS3 is not broadcasting any information. Your PS3 is not a wireless access point. All your bases do not belong to us.
