It's the sequel to Umbrella Chronicles. On-rails-shooter.
Dead space looks more serious than I expected.

The multiplayer Mario game looked like a lot of fun. It could really use a level editor though.

I can't believe they didn't show Zelda. They're a bunch of morons.

I was disappointed with lack of Zelda DS stuff too. I think that new Metroid game has the potential to be awesome, the trailer was pretty sweet. I don't know what to think about Super Mario Galaxy 2. Honestly I think Nintendo is just being lazy by making a sequel for it, especially in same console gen. It's hard to complain though since Galaxy is like the Wii's flagship game at the moment.

The whole press conference felt a tad bit underwhelming though. Nothing quite as eye-raising as what Microsoft had. The real killer though will be if Sony has something up their sleeve.

I don't get why folks are upset they didn't show a Zelda, I guess not the biggest Zelda fan, but I may eat crow for this, maybe they haven't really nailed down a concept that would make Zelda as new and fresh as they wanted.

I was a little surprised at no Zelda: Spirit Tracks since I assume their big DS game for the year.

What confused me the most was the Wii Vitality, like maybe they have some ideas, but they just kind of threw it out there without a proper introduction and I can't really see it improving any game or even helping create some new genre.

Also shocked at no Miyamoto, which I thought they would save for their big reveal.

Am I the only one who did not miss the only Zelda news there was? Spirit Tracks is there ready to play for people at E3. We are gonna see it this year. A new video would have been nice. Mabey some cam jobs will appear in the E3 aftermath.

I'm a little surprised too since he is the man.

Yeah man, that's what I was expecting. I was watching the live feed from Nintendo. I waited a full 2 minutes after the stage cleared at the end then realised people were getting up and leaving and in fact we would see no Shiguru today.

KG, you don't get it, do you? I don't care about Zelda for DS, we already knew about it.

We wanted a Wii Zelda!!!! They've been working on it for 3 years!!!! What the heck are they thinking?

Re: Nintendo Press Conference

I imagine the main reason we didn't see a Wii Zelda is because they are currently promoting Spirit Tracks, and it might be foolish to push two Zelda games at once. Like if there was a Zelda Wii announcement, who the hell would care about Zelda DS, right? And new mario and metroid announcements are pretty big things that they can ride on for now, my only real concern is that there isn't a whole lot interesting planned for the Fall on the Wii. I guess 2010 will be the year.

Ok so where were the F-Zeros, the Star Foxes, the Pikmins? They should have shown more new games.

Re: Nintendo Press Conference

Yeah, I agree with DarkMaster. If you guys haven't noticed Nintendo has been rocking sales this gen, and with the new Wii Sports title and improved Wii motion sensors....a new Metroid and sequel to the Wii's most successful game Mario Galaxy....Nintendo is going to be pulling in tons of cash. And isn't that the bottom line? Plus on the DS they have a new Zelda which will most likely sell like crazy because it is Zelda.

It wouldn't surprise me if Zelda Wii comes out at the very end of the Wii's console run.

Damn, F-Zero, I forgot about that one. Would've been awesome to see a new one.

Re: Nintendo Press Conference

Seeing the Sony press conf had me thinking. Both Microsoft and Sony are big into motion controls. What they have looks good. BUT:

It will take years to come out. It will never reach a considerable audience. Not this gen.

Nintendo has WM+ coming out in a few weeks!! And Wii Sports Resort in a month! That's really awesome.
I can't wait for some fun WiiWare games that let you play around with the WiiMote+.

I wasn't expecting much and I was still disappointed.

I just got back from work and read up on the conference a bit (still haven't had the chance to watch it), and basically a new Mario and Metroid game for the Wii and a new Zelda game for the DSi were announced?

Is that it? Were any 3rd party developers at the conference?
