I was in New Orleans. Drunk on Bourbon on an insanely crowded Bourbon Street. Possibly the best ever place to be for Halloween.

Oooh did you make it to Frenchman St? That's where the locals (and those aspiring to be locals) do it.

Yeah, we made to Frenchman as well. It was great. Honestly, I only remember select parts. I wasn't raging drunk, but it's all just hazy enough.

I'm in Illinois now. We played a place called the Marigny Theatre. I guess they don't always have shows there, but it was a pretty fun time. Our record label is based there, so they got some people out. I had a good time strolling Magazine street as well. New Orleans is a cool town, I kind of want to go for Halloween all the time now.

The Marigny is a fun but lesser known part of New Orleans, glad you got to check that part of town out. And for Halloween it doesn't get better than Frenchmen St. When you make it back to Nola and if you're in the Marigny, I highly highly recommend Adolfo's on Frenchmen. It's on the 2nd floor above the Apple Barrel Bar, and is just about the most snug and warm atmosphere you'll get around there. And the food is excellent but completely reasonable. Try a fish of your choice with the Ocean Sauce. Yum. Don't forget to bring cash.

Magazine St is a lot of fun, too. If you want some good ice cream, try Creole Creamery, a few streets north on Prytania. And for some true New Orleans cuisine, if you're ever up near Tulane, ask where Plum Street Snoballs is at and make it there. Open only during the summer.

Oh man dude how much would a Taxi cost to brooklyn? Why didnt you just take the subway?

Anyways I was Indiana Jones for Halloween, went down to my old college and screwed around and got really drunk, then got lost, and eventually threw up in the Sink to finish off the night.

Good times!

Its all relative, but from around midtown, it generally costs me 35 bucks. From JFK, it costs just under 30.

The one taxi that did stop wanted to charge me 50 bucks, when I was already in the lower west side.

And I did end up taking the subway home, but you don't know how much of a pain it is to take the subway on the weekends after hours.

Took me about hour and a half for what it usually 40 minute commute.
