Maybe the sword isn't there because this seems to be the earliest Zelda in the timeframe (though, I haven't been paying attention), and the Master Sword hasn't come into it yet.

This story takes place 100 years later...

At first I thought it was dumb and I was like "WHERE IS TEH SWORD AND SHIELD >:<" but then I was like "It's not that bad looking, and it's something new instead of the same logo over and over again"...

do you all realize..... out of lets say 9 zelda games. (not counting the new game boy link to the past cuz its really a remake)

only 3, maybe 4 of them had the freaking sword???
and almost every game has a differnt logo.

The Legend of Zelda.... it was just a shield
Adventures of Link ...... just a kinda small sword, almost knife.
Link to the Past ........... sword going straight down thro the Z, bigger shield behind it.
Links Awakening ......... Same as link to the past.
Ocarina of Time .......... Biggest thing there is the shield, swoard behind it going at an angle, but all you see of the sword is the handle and tip.
Majoras Mask ............... has the mask
oricle of seasons .......... has kinda a map thing
oricle of ages ................ Same. as above.
Link to the past / four swords ....... same as link to the past
and now Wind Waker ......... boat.


there has always been differnt logos. and the original zelda. that started it all. had NO SWORD on it at all.
