well actually now if you think about it, there won't be any reason for him 2 wear the skin suit in the future, in the past its used for camouflage...so theres 50/50 on arny or not

'tis true. I forget where I found it first (probably the first movie), but there's plenty of back-up information on the net. The T-100 was covered with flesh so that it could travel in the time machine. This also explains why they're always in the nude. No, it wasn't to control weight in the machine or to boost ratings for the movie.

T-1000 is the reason why people get a little confused about the whole "flesh and time travel" thing. But, I guess that just shows how good at imitating the T-1000 can be. Same goes with the T-X. I mean... she sure didn't look fake.
