Re: eBay...

Can someone here who has sold off of eBay explain me to the costs of hosting an item on eBay.

Re: eBay...

I sold on ebay.

And I have my account set up so that they take the selling fee's directly out of my checking out (or actually my moms checking account) but its not a very high fee, at all. Im not sure if that answers your question or not. I just know that it didnt cost too much, and I didnt really worry a lot about it.

If you have any more questions, just ask, and be specific.

Re: eBay...

Does the fee for hosting an item on eBay vary depending on the product or is their a flat out rate for any item you host on there? Also, is the fee charged by the month, week, or is it just one payment to keep your item there until it sells. And if you're item sells, does eBay get a small portion of the profit?

meh...

Someone help me out here, Ive only sold once on ebay, and its been a long time.

I do remember that there is just one payment to host your item. It doesnt continue to charge for every day or week that your item is still on ebay. And I do not believe that ebay gets any of the profit. Im not sure about the "flat out rate" bit though, maybe someone else remembers...

I bought a 30 gig ipod off of ebay, I paid for it with bidpay, before the bidpay order was approved the person I bought it from had their ebay account cancled. I wasn't charged anything, but I'm not getting my Ipod (not that way at least.)

Sucks too, I only paid $355 and $5 shipping.

How long does it usually take for people to start bidding on items you're selling?

I have some items with 6 days left and so far no bids... :(

Speaking of Ikaruga, I can't find it anywhere. At all.

You could probably get a pretty good price out of it.

I sell on eBay about 100 items a week for my company. The breakdown of the fees are as follows.....

Insertion Fee: 3% of Starting Bid
Final Value: 3% of final sell price
PayPal: 3% of sale, if taking payments through them.

+ Additionals like Subtitles, Borders, Colors on listings and such.

What? PayPal costs extra? That's cruel. I knew there had to be a catch when I noticed PayPal is owned by Ebay.

I'd buy your MKDS if I owned a DS. :)

You want my DS too, lol. I was going to hold onto it for Animal Crossing but maybe I should let it go...

Re: eBay...

NO. Do not even joke. I can see letting go of MKDS but Animal Crossing...no...your DS will weep if you sell it now. It'll never adjust to its new owner and five years down the line you'll pass it on the street barely recognizable...drugged out of it's mind on Sponge Bob GBA games.
