Though now that I think about it, I do have a complaint!
Only one hip-hop group in the battle. I know a lot of people dislike hip-hop, but it can be very good if you find the right pocket of artists. So, yes, I'm contradicting myself by now posting an issue I have with the battle, but...eh...screw it.

the old bands are fairly decent. i have more probs with the new ones. altho in his defence, newer good bands are harder to think up.

Well, you have to keep in mind that modern music spans a huge variety of genre's, with an immense selection from each. If I had created a bracket of all of MY favorite bands, the bracket would be much different.

A few of the bands in my bracket were on your list of "good" bands that you posted in another thread. I think that's fair. There was no concievable way for me to include all of them, I had to pick a few bands from different categories, hoping I would get at least one band that everyone liked. I realize that we are only 3 matches into the tournement, but none of the bands I've chosen have yet to get zero votes, so that means I'm doing a good job so far. I havnt presented a band that no one likes yet.

And Sloan isnt an old band, They're semi-new, they've been around for about 10 years, but are still making music, i don't really think that classifies as old...

Aerosmith has been around for over 20 years, and still making music.

i dunno. you'd have to have a cut off year for what you consider old and whats new.

Well, I had a large list of possible bands to include...and they were on it, the just didnt make it to the bracket. :\

I'm glad that I did this. Since Vampyr put all the newer bands, maybe I'll see what they're like for once. I also love to talk about all the classic rock bands that I listen to. I still need to get more Who and Zeppelin albums. :unsure:

I have the round 2 bracket ready to be posted, with the exception of the last two battles, but those bands will be easy to add in. I could actually start round 2 today, so I'll just post the round 2 bracket in place of the round 1 bracket in the first post of this topic. Vampyr, let me know if you can start round 2 today.

Edit: Okay, Vampyr and I are going to wait till tomorrow to start round 2. We're both busy tonight, but I will get the Round 2 Bracket up..because I think I can pretty much guess who will win the last two battles.
