Thats not true, War does create huge economical increases, makings jobs from soldiors, to bomb makers, to janitors working in bomb factories. War also forces technology to jump in huge leaps and bounds, sometimes for the better, for example, the V2 rocket, invented by the Germans during WWII, is the base theory for all space fairing vessels used today.

As for Ace's question regarding what I would do, I'd see to it that 1% of the world population doesn't own 90% of its economy.

I don't consider Linkin Park "pop", as for the other two, I've never listened to them.

Even so a few bands does not justify the existence of such a crappy genre.

Duuude, have you not heard of the 80's?? Pop was in its hayday back then and totally kicked the crap outta anything today. 80's hip-hop kicked ass too but you can still find great new stuff around like Prefuse 73, Cex, 2nd Gen, and Dev79.
