Sounded like a good game over the radio. The announcers seemed a bit aloof at times, though.

Re: NHL Playoffs

nucks > blues in 4.

Sundin looks lost out there.

edit: and jeep, that oshie goal is overrated. sure, he was patient with his cut across and clearly beat lu, but goal of the year? it's up there in the top 100.
burrows > oshie

I'm impressed with St. Louis' last half of the season. Best stats in the NHL so who knows, ... pretty sure the Sedins are gonna continue to elevate their play from previous playoffs. wooooot

Who was announcing it for you via radio?

You should be able to stream over the internet.

If you want a Vancouver broadcast via stream, for next game I can hook you up with the link to the team 1040 broadcast.

And not that I approve of such things, but you can watch most out of market games for free on this site...

Re: NHL Playoffs

actually cbc lets you stream the games for the playoffs.

Nice and legal, with good quality

Bond 04-17-2009 01:34 AM

Re: NHL Playoffs

Awesome! I tried to stream the game off of nhl.com, but that was a no-go as they wanted some absurd amount of money to watch.

Typhoid 04-17-2009 02:56 PM

Re: NHL Playoffs

Are you able to watch the game, or just listen to it?

Bond 04-17-2009 06:25 PM

Re: NHL Playoffs

On nhl.com I am only able to listen to the game, video is a subscription fee.

Hope Bond gets to watch it. And I hope we win as to consolodate his blossoming hockey fandom.

Re: NHL Playoffs

Does it suck that either a team from North Carolina or a team from New Jersey is going to make it to the next round?

Anyway, go Flyers! It's tied 1-1 in the second intermission. Hoping for them to tie up the series..

True that. That was a terrible ending...That slashing to break the stick penalty is bogus too. He barely touched it.

Wow, awesome goal there. Thought no one was going to score for a minute.

I wish that Carter would have scored to make it 3-1. Fluery made a really good save though. I hate being in Pittsburgh right now!

Canucks take series to 2-0!

1st career playoff shutout for Luongo.

Did you manage to watch it all, Bond?

I just got back in time to watch the second and third periods, missed the first. Great game!

Does anyone know what the Blues coach was so pissed off about at the end?

Not sure but there were about 4 different scuffles at the end so maybe he was mad about one of those.

What a beauty goal by Sundin eh! wow wow
Canucks are playing like a really balanced team right now. So good to watch.

It's general practice in hockey not to really get in a giant scrum at the end of a game, considering it serves no real purpose.

Vigneault (Canucks coach) put out some of our "tough guys" at the end of the game - which makes sense, they were trying to prevent a goal - but I assume since a scrum occured the Blues coach took it as us sending out goons out to try cause a fight.

Re: NHL Playoffs

Bieksa put his stick behind one of the blues and pulled his feet out from under him, a brew-ha ha ensued at the end.

Superb!

What a fantastic game. Canucks take series to 3-0.

If we win on Tuesday, it will be the first time the Canucks have ever swept a 7 game series.

I wonder if Jeepnut is at the bar right now. It really sucks when your team goes down 3-0 in a series.

Overtime for the Canucks and Blues! 2-2.

Damn Pens. Flyers outplayed the Penguins today, but Fluery outplayed everyone. Flyers have never won a series after being down 3-1. Maybe now is the time...

I'm watching them on VS if they're on, otherwise I watch on that website Germy posted.

Unfortunately, it looks like CBC bans Americans from watching the streaming videos. :(

Just have a little cleaning to do:

Re: NHL Playoffs

Well, congrats Canucks fans. I wish you all luck in the next round. If Luongo and the D play the same way they did against us, I don't see how you won't at least make the finals.

And in the Blue's defense, this has to be the closest, hardest fought series sweep I've ever seen.

Our boys are young and they got some great experience from this series. We'll be back next year.
