I thought that part in particular of the closing ceremony was great... so much better than China.

Was anyone impressed at how flawless the Vancouver olympics were? No major controversies, no state brutality, no protests that I was aware of? It was just great.

There were protesters. They smashed the windows of the Hudson Bay Company, Team Canada's official Olympic retailer.

I think the atmosphere and feeling here was absolutely astounding and incredible. There was just some sort of magic in the air that only an event like this can create. It was very well worth it to host these games.

Meh it was the winter games. They usually go off without too many hitches. Now... Summer games... That's where the terrorism is.
