I read what you posted DH. Very good info and it is an interesting issue. Personally, I think the War on Drugs is a waste of money better spent elsewhere. Especially when you see Marijuana all over the place despite the fact that they are supposed to be cracking down on it. And personally, I could care less if it were legal or not.

But the facts remain, it's illegal. And until it is made legal, it's breaking the law. Something I'm not about to risk doing. And secondly, it may not be harmful as other products, but it is still mind altering and puts you in an altered mental state.

Granted, alchohol does the same if not more and is proven maybe even to be more dangerous, but it is legal. Probably the only reason Alcohol is legal is because it is so entrenched in our culture. Marijuana would be the same way if it became popular before it was outlawed. Keep in mind a ban on Alcohol was attempted, but so many people were attached that the majority wouldn't have it.

Not to say I think Alcohol is fine because it is legal, quite the opposite. But laws are laws. As a citizen of this country, you agree to abide by the laws. If you don't like one, get it changed. Otherwise, deal with it.

Educate, lobby. and campaign. Then you can sit around high all you want.

And it's against the law for underage people to drink, but obviously some here do...

And it's against the law for them to look at porn... do you think anybody pays attention to that? :p

and no, I don't drink alcohol, because it's not good for me, and at my age, against the law...I mean I've HAD alcolhol before...but my sobriety streak is at about 3 months ;)

Well you see, yes I guess I did originally change the topic we were talking about, but I changed it to how I find it stupid that teenagers are like "OMG AWESOME DRINKING SWEET! CLUBBIN'! D00D!" and such, then Stu brought up the fact that I smoke weed even though I wasn't making a big deal out of it before and I have only done it 4 times and will never ever do it a whole lot...

I've smoked weed once, and I've had alcoholic beverages before. Both were my choice, and now that I'm mature enough to put some reasoning behind my decisions, I can make, what I feel is, the right choice.

I'm not gonna try to convince DH or drolldurham to quit smoking weed, because quite frankly I'd laugh my ass off if I found out that some day they were two bums on the street trying to sell weed to innocent school children. :lol:
