Japan always gets cardboard stuff...

TheGame 02-07-2003 11:44 AM

Question...

What if I were to reserve Celda... get the bonus disk, then cancel my reservation... what would happen? :deal:

As far as it seems, if you cancel your pre-order you have to bring back the bonus disc unopened and return it before you cancel your pre-order, I don't know if that holds true everywhere but that's seems to be the deal.

Gamer 02-07-2003 03:40 PM

Thats the deal where im buying it. Basically you pay 20$(cnd) for the bonus disk, and pay the rest for the actual game.

Jason1 02-07-2003 07:33 PM

YES!!!! I SO wanted a DVD case to protect this baby! (the cardboard things make them scratch easily) I wonder if any stores will have them there this weekend...so I could just walk in, pre-order, put my money down, and walk out with the Disc:D

If you think about it, that really wouldnt be fair to the people who DO plan on buying the game. (Why don't you want it anyway?) Like if it's only limited copies and some other person who does plan on buying it and can't get the bonus disc because of people like you, then it isn't fair...IMO. Do whatever you want, I just felt like adding in my opinion...

I don't see why you don't want Wind Waker though... maybe you don't have enough cash? And if you get it from EB, theres always the 10 day return policy (I'm not sure if its in the US but is at EB Canada).

DeathsHand 02-07-2003 07:48 PM

ebgames says you CAN'T cancel the order UNLESS you send the bonus disc back...

My bonus disc is in Maryland!... SO CLOSE YET SO FAR! COME TO MEEEEE!!!

Jason1 02-08-2003 11:17 AM

I think im goning to the mall today...Im praying either EB or Babbages might have some bonus discs in...think its possible guys? Everyone seems to know that these things are being shipped to online pre-orders, but nobody seems to have any clue if any stores have them in.

GameKinG 02-08-2003 01:25 PM

Most stores have told me all sales are final unless you bring the bonus back.

Jason1 02-08-2003 04:27 PM

Well I placed my pre-order today at Babbages, the guy said they should have the bonus disc's in the 16th, but he is going to call when they get them in.

TheGame 02-09-2003 03:34 PM

I decided I'll just reserve the game and buy it at launch.... I guess I'll have to scrap up some extra $$$ for Pokemon.

Seth 02-10-2003 03:05 PM

Well, I just got 2 discs via fedex. They look exactly the same though? I still haven't put them in my cube yet...seeay.

/me goes off to play some OOT.

ZebraRampage 02-10-2003 03:13 PM

I preordered mine last weekend and I get my bonus disc on the 16th, but I'm watching the Daytona 500 first so I might not be able to get it on Sunday, so I'll get it on Monday.

gekko 02-10-2003 03:32 PM

Mine has arrived.

Seth 02-10-2003 03:34 PM

K....sorry about the size..http://66.183.206.141/AGB/pics/Misc/oot%2Ejpg

Also......My cube isn't connected to my TV at this time so i still have yet to try out the discs.....but do the rest of you have 2 of the exact same cases? The pamphlets in the inside are the same too. ? whatever..maybe i should actually play the games.

gekko 02-10-2003 03:43 PM

I don't know why you have 2 copies. Both games are on a single disc.

Jason1 02-10-2003 03:45 PM

Bah! Bah! Im so envious! I cant pick mine up til the 16th!

Ya I know...I'm like, wtf. Both cases are identical and everything. hmmm. I hope I didn't accidentally preorder WW twice:)

.hack// 02-10-2003 08:18 PM

I'm gonna reserve my copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on Feburary 16th (when my EB gets copies of Oot/MQ).

Oh, and btw, anybody here play the Wind Waker demo yet??

Crash 02-10-2003 09:03 PM

got my pre order disk, pics and impressions tomorrow....

Same here...:(

*sighs and walks away*

Seth 02-10-2003 09:56 PM

I've played about 1 hour into OOT. The video clips of 1080, F-Zero, and stuff aren't that great. Just footage from the games. But ya, OOT is running on a higher resolution. I don't know what else to say about the disc....cept that I mysteriously got 2 discs instead of one.

Ginkasa 02-11-2003 12:23 AM

One disc is OoT. The other disc is the actual treasure, Ura Zelda. Ura Zelda is a remix of OoT, like the second adventure in the original LoZ.

Did you not know that?

*duh*

*shrugs and walks away*

Crash 02-11-2003 12:33 AM

no, both games are on one disk, at least in the US version. it's cool... it says legend of zelda on one side... .so far, just got my deku shield, so nothing new as of yet... cept for the "L" targeting system!

Seth 02-11-2003 12:42 AM

Ya....master quest/oot are on one disc...along with the sneak peaks. So....i got 2 discs. I got my sword and shield and I'm in the great deku tree. I'm at the point where I have to break through a cobweb thing in the floor...but I don't know how. I didn't play OOT back when it was released:(

Crash 02-11-2003 12:44 AM

you gotta jump from high up, and break it...

Seth 02-11-2003 12:45 AM

I did jump....but all it did was bounce. Do I have to climb those vines? I climb but once I get to the top it's blocked off.

Crash 02-11-2003 12:48 AM

if it bounces, you're not high enough

Ginkasa 02-11-2003 12:51 AM

You have to climb as high as you can before it breaks.

*shrugs and walks away*

GameKinG 02-11-2003 01:16 AM

Get to the very top. There should be a spider the pops down when you head towards the edge of the platform. Kill it and fall down. There is a chance you can miss the web, then you have to go back up...

Crash 02-11-2003 01:37 AM

this is awesome, EVERYTHINGS moved around, and enemies are all different.... you da man nintendo!

PS gameking, is MQ there are no spiders, there are man eating plants!

TheGame 02-11-2003 11:39 AM

hmm... everything is moved around? Can you give some examples?

Is the game's story line any different from the original Zelda OoT?

Crash 02-11-2003 12:29 PM

the games story line is the same, but where you'd find the slingshot, is where the compus used to be, and stuff.

TheGame 02-11-2003 12:47 PM

ok, cool... is it any more diffucult that OoT? Cause I had lots of trouble the moment Link grew up. Even though I eventually beat every temple I had attempted

Then your REALLY in for a treat:D

ZeroCool51 02-12-2003 12:04 AM

Duffman has reserved Zelda and would like to know what is the difference between OCT and masterquest.

Ginkasa 02-12-2003 12:25 AM

Master Quest has a few items in different places and different enemies and stuff.
