Mushlafa, not everyone here played Zelda before Wind Waker came out. You were just the same way when you played Zelda for the first time so give him a break.

I beat the game the hardest way possible (with only the white sword) without even knowing it- next thing I know I'm playing the second quest, which was even worse. Right now I'm tidying up the rest of Wind Waker, looking for my last heart piece, last bottle, and more Nintendo Gallery Membership stuffs. That geek in that place looks so damn lame, too...They even threw some Nintendo fanboy loyalty jokes in the game for kicks...Gotta love Dan Olsen and his "translations"...;) -Official Ninja of [coming soon]... |
I wasnt to hard on him for using a guide 3 times just before he got to valoo... i didnt say like.. thats ****in sad or anythin.. i jus said thats kinda bad because i didnt think it was that hard so far... i had just figured that at a nintendo website with nintendo fans that most would have played OoT at least... but i guess not

Ok I'm stuck again, and I have been stuck for a couple of days. I'm at the part where you have to go to those two mountains to get into specific places in hyrule, and one of the places has a big rock blocking it, and the other one is blowing wind. Well I figured that I had to get special items in order to get to the places and I know that you can't lift the rock, but I was thinking, maybe I need special gaunlets like in previous zelda games, and well maybe I need iron boots to walk into the wind because I remember in the shadow temple you had to do that. Well I've looked at almost every island, but I don't know where to go. I've gotten a lot of crap though which is cool, but I still have no clue what the hell I'm supposed to do. Could someone just tell me where I'm supposed to go, but don't tell me what to do, I think I'll be able to figure it out by myself.
|
Ok your right on... first of all... You need to find one of those giant cyclones with that god ontop of it and you need to get close enough to it so that it kinda pulls you in a circle around it then shoot the cloud on top of it.. and then you learn that song so that you can warp all over the place.. next you have to warp to one of the top left ones and it takes you to mother and child isle.. and you meet the fairy queen there and she enchants your bow with fire and ice... after that... you have to look for a fire mountan place and you have to shoot the fire on top with an ice arrow and go inside and get your gauntlets... then you can lift the giant rock after that temple your gonna have to look for an ice island and shoot the ice shootin out of it with a fire arrow and go inside and get your iron boots
Just a side note.. love links facial expressions .. like when he has his iron boots on.. he looks so feirce :p |
I already have that song.....and I've been on Mother and Child isle. I guess I'll check it out again.....and I guess now I can use a fire arrow for the lighthouse on Windfall. Ok well thanks..
|
you have to WARP to mother and child isle.. not just go there

Im looking for the triforce shards, and i just had the worst experience ever. I was on outset island and i decided to go into the neverending stages and get the triphorce chart. After i went through the first like 30 levels i finally got it, then i noticed a light, and a rock that could be destroyed, so i destroyed it and then went on through the tunnels. My friend told me that if you keep going you eventually find a heart peice, but it is tough. I journeyed through the seemingly endless enemies, and finally after like over an hour at least came to a room with a few flying guys and 4 super darknuts. I battled through and killed the flying guys and managed to get the helmets off the group of darknuts. Then the unimaginable happened...i died! It pissed me off something fierce because after all that time i died. o god...what a piss off lol.

I'm in the Tower of the Gods. There's this one room which has two doors. The room is square shaped with four sides to it. There's a door on two of the four sides. There is hardly any floor, most of the room is a bottomless pit. Flying over the pit are two weird hovering skulls. The door I came through into this room is where I stand. There are statues on both sides of this door. Then there is a another door with a gate blocking entrance into it. Then the other side directly across from me over the giant bottomless pit has a button to stand on and when you stand on it, it opens that other door with the gate. Then above this pit is this weird gold colored thing with three legs, like chair legs that Link stares at. What do I do in this room?
|
There should be 3 doors in that room, counting the one you came in. Go into the one opposite the one you came through; don't worry about that switch for now. You deal with it later.
That gold colored thing in the air is a grapple-hook point. |
Alright thanks

Me ----> :boxing: <------ People who read my questions |
Hehe, no worries. I didn't see it the first time through either. I actually used the Deku Leaf to hop to the left edge, and then Deku Leaf again to get to the far one.

Needing help with Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
About the figurines in the Wind Waker, does anybody know if the ones you collect in the first quest make it to the second quest?
When you activate the Tingle Tuner in the Tower of the Gods, you can get five legendary pages that you assemble in some hallway of some sort. Where is this hallway where the pages are used and how do you assemble the pages? Thanks. |
Uh this should have been posted in the Wind Waker Help Center. I'm not a mod or anything...so I can't do anything. And about your questions, I umm don't really know what you mean by figurines, and I don't know what you have to do with the 5 pages in the Tower of Gods. I only got one and it didn't even have any importance so don't worry about them.

I was going to do the tasks for Lenzo, but I couldn't get the picture to come out right for his liking so I basically said Screw it.

I'm having trouble with the first task. I have find the person who doesn't learn the lesson of love, I can't remember all of what it is, but I have to catch them in the act of writing another love letter. I thought it was the girl Milla or something.....who is the girl who was poor, but now rich because she keeps sending love letters to that dude at the Forsaken Fortress. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know.

Does anyone have a good strategy for beating that boss in the Temple of Gods? The one with the hands and a head kind of like Andross in StarFox 64.
|

Ok, well, you begin the fight, it's very easy to be honest. Get your arrows out and shoot his arms first, after that, and take out his eyes... You have to take his eyes out quickly or his hands will heal. Hit each thing twice and it goes down, whatever you do, don't fall in the electrical pit. When he's been shot, he will go down and open his mouth, quickly toss a bomb inside his mouth and you will hurt him pretty bad. Repeat this 3 times and he will die. It's very easy. |
You don't need to take out his hands, only his eyes.
*shrugs and walks away* |

My brother saw the boss in Wind Waker and said it looked just like it and said that people at Nintendo are unoriginal bastards... ... That is all... |

i noticed the andross similarity too...it made me grin more than it made me angry... and the rest of the bosses are cool enough to make up for it (besides the ghost boss in the earth temple...he just seemed kinda boring) the story alone just impressed the hell out of me, it was so much more than i expected form a zelda game...i think ww is my favorite zelda game of them all, just cuz of the first surprise momeny you get after getting the three pearls, and the final battle:D |
Quote:
WW had a lot of surprises. I thought I had allready spoiled most of the story for me, but as it turned out there were quite a few things I wasnt expecting...I think my favorite part might have been after you collect all 8 triforce shards, and Link's triforce lights up on his hand...and they play that Remixed zelda music that sounds like the music they played on the Title screen on the Origional zelda...that was awsome...anyone know where we can download the songs off of Wind Waker? Ive been able to find some on Kazaa, but some I cant find(like the song the forest sage plays) |
Ok, I got Medii playing the harp in the Earth Temple. Now I need to find the other instrumentalist? Who is it and where do I find them? Thanks!
|
*bump*

The island with the Ghost Ship map is the Diamond shaped island, I forget the name, but the name has Diamond in it.

Thank you sir.

My friend had so much trouble with the Ghost Ship. But I had no problem. At first, I thought I was just a lot better than him (which I probably am), but I found out that it was because I had the Magic Armor and he didn't...

Spoiler: You get the magic armor after trading flowers a few times (guy on Greatfish Island and one of the other ones I can't remember). It's an item you set to a button and it envelopes you in a purple glow (while sucking down your magic power). While it is activated you are pretty much invincible and those floor trapper things (the purple hands that take you to the beginning of a dungeon) have no effect on you (this being the advantage in the ghost ship). End Spoiler |
