Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
At least you can still bet for the Packers. Everytime I put something down on the Vikings the always **** up. They lose, don't cover the spread, go over/under. Thats why I don't bet for the Vikings anymore. I'll still cheer them on though.
Vikings vs. Packers, can't wait. Thats always a big game here. |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
I know this means nothing, being an NFL thread.
But the BC Lions play the Stamps tonight...(CFL) and BC is on an 8 or 9 game win streak....all i know is its the longest in Lions history. Woot. Grey Cup baby. |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Go Eagles. 30-13 win over the Lions, and now 3-0!

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Yep. A Philadelphia team actually living up to its expectations so far? That shouldn't be...
McNabb looked great again. 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing. 356 passing yards, to 8 different receivers. T.O was once again solid with 6 receptions for 106 yards and a TD which gives him 5 on the year already. All of the Eagles receivers COMBINED last year got 5 TD catches for the whole year...so...that's production. I think The Freak also had 3 sacks... everyone is living up to the hype so far. I love this team. BTW: Where is the defense in the Packers V. Colts Game? |

Pittsburgh is 3-1. :D |

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Its not taunting becaue it was not aimed at the opposing team. The week before, Mike Bartrum (the long snapper) caught a TD and then long snapped the ball into Detroit's bench (unintentional, but still) and that was called for taunting. There is a difference.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
![]() Does anyone feel like beating the Colts? That 4th round rookie says no. |

I think the question is whether anybody feels like beating the Patriots, Jets, or Eagles, the only undefeated teams left. :) |

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
I think the question is do the Packers feel like winning a game?
|
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
The Eagles are 5-o and have beaten every team by 10+ points. I hate to say it, but I'm getting bored with the Eagles being the cream of the crop since there are no exciting games.
... PSYCHE!!! I LOVE IT! SWEAT THE EAGLES, BEOTCHES. ;):) |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Eagles go 7-0 for the first time ever. T.O has his fifth straight 100 yard game. Pretty ugly game, but I'll take it, just like last week.
EDIT: On a sidenote, the Packers are about to win which means John Kerry will win the election. :) You see, the Washington Redskins game before the election has predicted every single presedential election since 1936. When the Redskins lose, the challenger wins, when the Redskins win, the incumbent wins. I know that this is the equivalent of a coin toss, but still...It makes me feel better. |

Terrell Owens after his TD:

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
The big game next week is Philly at Pittsburgh.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Jason, your a Steelers fan? I must have known that... And just forgotten.. lol.
Yeah, I'm so happy the Steelers are playing so well. I was actually suppose to go to the game yesterday... But I got screwed over. :( |

Ya, big Steelers fan. And not just becuase, ive actually got good reason to be. Ive got quite a few relatives on my mom's side that live in Pittsburgh, I visit them every year over the summer. My whole family are big Steeler fans, its a big deal. Hopefully Pittsburgh will play the Colts next year so maybe I can actually see them play in person. But its awsome to see them winning and doing so well after they sucked quite badly last year. |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Yeah, my uncle and his family live in Pitsburgh, and I've gone to one game... The last gameat Three River Stadium! I love the city of Pitsburgh, and I love the Steelers.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
The Jets hammered Miami. A nice 41-14 victory. I am so glad the Patriots lost, since this ties them with the Jets for first.
|
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
I really feared that the Steelers would be dominating like this. There's a very slim chance at a comeback for the Eagles, but it's games like these and the past few that make me lose confidence in them. It doesn't look the Eagles can ever make it easy for themselves, but I'll stick by them. Afterall they will only be 7-1, and the loss will be against an AFC team.
I'd also like to congratulate the Steelers on there terrific performance in this game so far. |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
After this game it would be hard to argue that Pittsburgh is the best team in the NFL...

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Peyton Manning is owning the entire NFL right now.
Oh, and Edgerrin James would have broken the single game rushing record if they didnt sit him the entire 4th quarter for some extra rest for the Turkey Day game on Thursday... |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
I'm going to the monday night game tomorrow. Favre's 200th start, should be awesome.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Eagles go to 10-1 with an easy win over the Giants and clinch the NFC East. First team to clinch by the 11th game since 1997. Next to clinch: Bye and Home-field advantage.
|
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
you're lucky...the NFC is a cream-puff conference ;)
oh, and the wink doesnt mean I was joking...it just means I wasnt hostile ;) the second wink meant nothing ;)? and Bond...cute signature. but I hope you're joking...for your sake |
