and Iron Man was pretty good. i loved the way it showed him messing around with the suit; plus, iron man has always been one of my favorites. |

Saw a sneak of Slumdog Millionaire a couple nights ago
HIGHLY recommend that anyone who is a fan of Danny Boyle (Director of Trainspotting, Sunshine, 28 Days Later, the Beach) or of movies filmed in a style similar to City of God (chronicles different periods of the casts life) check this film out. Moments of laughter, action, romance, and incredibly suspenseful throughout. |
Re: Last movies you saw
I saw the Flaming Lips long awaited Christmas on Mars "film." Some of the silent black + white shots were pretty cool, but once someone opened their mouth the acting was so horrible that it ruined a lot. Still worth seeing after all these years though.

The Village. 8/10.
Good movie. Scary too, even though somebody already spoiled the ending. But the setting of the movie was a much bigger eye opener. Halfway through it felt more like a 7 movie, but the last half turned it into an 8 movie. :) |
Re: Last movies you saw
Kung-Fu Panda.
Don't. Just, don't. Worst 5 dollars I've ever been forced to spend. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Oh, I saw the Boy with the Stripped Pajamas. It was pretty good.

Re: Last movies you saw
Ben X 9/10 highly recommended.
It's a Belgian (so get subtitles) movie about an autistic boy who gets picked on in real life, and tries to escape in a MMORPG. It uses a lot of in game graphics, which is cool. It really is a sad story, but very pretty. Watch it. |

Genius Party
Seven short animated films. I could only find five of them and Netflix doesn't have the DVD. But really good stuff. Here's the opening short: |
Re: Last movies you saw
Good Will Hunting. 8.5/10.
I thought I had already seen it a long time ago, but I hadn't. Maybe just a few minutes. Great movie, what a Hollywood entrance for Damon and Affleck. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Australia.
Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman's latest movie. It was a wild and adventurous film. |
Re: Last movies you saw
Oh I forgot one:
The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. 5/10. It barely kept me entertained. It was bad. It was even worse because they replaced the gorgeous Rachel Weisz with some annoying woman. Who was supposed to play the same character... GM, what were your thoughts on it? You're supposed tell that! :) Or play Brawl with me, right now. Edit: This one's just in: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. 8/10. Great movie. Also great 80's feeling (even though I was just 3 when that movie was released). Days when you're a bit ill are great for watching movies and playing games. |
Re: Last movies you saw
And another movie (it seems I'm on a roll):
Hidalgo 8/10. Much better than expected. I discovered how much I still love horses. I miss my pony, Charon. She died last year. :( |
