Re: NHL Playoffs
The one lame thing about the playoffs is that rink side seats cost $300 in Vancouver.
Hockey has been turned into a rich man's game here. I was watching this thing yesterday where they said you could fly two people to St Louis, pay for a hotel for the night, and go to the game, and it would be $12 cheaper than for two people to see the game in Vancouver. Sean, if we play someone within bussing distance these playoffs, we're going to a game. |
Re: NHL Playoffs
The only teams realistically in bussing distance would be Calgary - or for a longer busride Chicago/Detroit - and Calgary wouldn't be cheap - and I definitely wouldn't want to roll up to the Saddledome in the playoffs in a Canucks jersey.
Cheap seats at Canucks games (second bowl) aren't too expensive. For regular season games, depending on the team they're roughly 60-80. They're not too much more than that for playoffs. Edit: I just checked Ticketmaster for seats tomorrow and Friday (out of curiosity) the cheapest seats are balcony seats roughly around 100 dollars. However, they are both sold out. |

Re: NHL Playoffs
Aaaaaaand for the triple post: Canucks emerge victorious!

Re: NHL Playoffs
Sounded like a good game over the radio. The announcers seemed a bit aloof at times, though.

Re: NHL Playoffs
nucks > blues in 4.
Sundin looks lost out there. edit: and jeep, that oshie goal is overrated. sure, he was patient with his cut across and clearly beat lu, but goal of the year? it's up there in the top 100. burrows > oshie I'm impressed with St. Louis' last half of the season. Best stats in the NHL so who knows, ... pretty sure the Sedins are gonna continue to elevate their play from previous playoffs. wooooot |

You should be able to stream over the internet. If you want a Vancouver broadcast via stream, for next game I can hook you up with the link to the team 1040 broadcast. |
Re: NHL Playoffs
And not that I approve of such things, but you can watch most out of market games for free on this site...
