Most of the stuff in my apartment is packed now, so I can't wait for Saturday when I get to move out. My ex-girlfriend is moving a lot of stuff out today through Friday. I just put her futon together in her new apartment, and I didn't run into her roommate, who is pissed at me, but the friends of ex-girlfriends are always like that..but I was really glad not to run into her. Anyway..I should have rolled all over the futon, because I went to the doctor again today, and they diagnosed me AGAIN, except now I have mono. So maybe I could give it to her with by spreading my saliva over everything! I probably won't do that though.

Is summer enjoyment like afternoon delight?

My 65-year-old mom just graduated from Rice last Saturday! And she all but had a heat stroke. The ceremony was outside, in the early Houston summer heat, which was around the mid-nineties and humidity of 1000%.

Not that it would mean much, but tell your mom congrats.
That's awesome.
And a hell of a mother's day gift.

I will try, though I imagine explaining who you are will be interesting.

And yeah it was a great weekend for her, minus the heat exhaustion. My girlfriend and I put on a Mother's Day brunch at our place and it turned out perfect. My girlfriend is amazing at putting these things together. I'm good at cleaning...

BA in English. She started at Rice some 40 years ago, but then dropped out two years or so in. She then decided to finish it off just a few years ago, I guess for that sense of accomplishment. I didn't know how I would feel exactly when she graduated, but when it came I felt very proud of her. Now I understand why everyone makes a big deal out of someone else's graduation, but when it's you graduating and in the middle of the ceremony, you don't quite get (though you appreciate) why everyone is so proud. At least that's how I felt.
