Is that it? Were any 3rd party developers at the conference?

They had 3rd party stuff but most of it was known before the conference
-NEw Final Fantasy, which I think looks fun
-Dead Space Extraction
-Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles
-The Conduit
-Some other stuff I won't repeat cuz it was eh
-COP: The Rookie

Also, Nintendo also announced another Mario game, Wii Fit Plus, the Wii Vitality (don't ask), showed off more of WiiSports Resorts, which looks like good fun a fan of the skydiving.

And Zelda for DSi has been known since March.
Also announced some DSi stuff like Mario vs DK with creatable levels and Wario Ware: DIY where you create minis.

Well... interesting...

If I exclusively owned a Wii I would be a little disappointed that I was getting the spin-offs of major 3rd party games (Final Fantasy, Resident Evil), or just not getting them at all (GTA, Metal Gear). But I suppose some people enjoy that.

I don't know if its all that bad, I do agree that some of the spin-offs are terrible ideas...
WE get a Castlevania that is a fighting game and a Soul Calibur which is an adventure game.

But you get the franchise, and honestly, I think Wii is coming into its own with 3rd party support now.

Red Steel 2, the Conduit, The Grinder, Silent Hill: Shattered Dreams, No More Heroes 2, Murasama and they start to add up. And who knows maybe one of those has potential for future mega hit.

And you also got to realize that Nintendo will always have some of the biggest franchises exclusive to them. :p

Bond, check my earlier thread for a video of Zelda Spirit Tracks:

It is a shame I had nothing to bump the topic with today.

I agree that a new F Zero would be good. But there's one game we all overlooked, that we have not seen since the N64 days... Pilotwings!!! Where the fuck is Pilotwings??? Imagine the possibilities with the Wii motion.

Team Ninja + Metroid = win. I might actually have something decent for the Wii. Still I'll just borrow the wii from my parents or uncle or something and play the game because there wasn't enough reason for me to keep it still haha!

Hm that's not how I felt at all. Then again, I was expecting a trailer of Zelda, and got some un-Nintendo-looking Metroid trailer.

Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to the game, but I have a bad feeling about it.
