I was like that myself at first. I used to trust IGN for reviews, mainly because I made myself believe that they were fair reviews when in fact the only reason I liked them so much is because they gave the N64 games good rating. I started to get mad at them for giving bad ratings to the GameCube games and getting pissed that X-box games were higher. I finally realized that those actions are all my fanboy tendancies and I think I've got it under control. (God, I sound like I'm in a therapy group spilling my guts :D).

Anyway, the point is, we shouldn't be all hypocritical about IGN and Famitsu ratings just because of their certain bias'. That is there opinion and a decent indicator of the quality of the game, but it doesn't determine if you like the game or not.

I disagree! I think IGN started to being dislike when they started charging for their service. and so everybody critizes it. Their review, their previews, their articels, everything. BTW, Famitsu has been the only one to review it. I think the other sites will give it a score just as impresive. And the game is going to be awesome for what we have seen. Stop bitching.

It's true that people dislike IGN for charging for Insider stuff, but it isn't until recently that people started calling them biased. When IGNinsider was first announced, people called them greedy but not biased. Now that IGN is posting reviews of GameCube games that are mediocre, people are calling them biased.

The simple fact of the matter is that right now, at this time of the year, the games being released on GameCube are not the highest quality around.

Well I guess I'm not the only one who has heard things like "Why pay for some stupid extras and some ****ty reviews?" or "they suck". So, IMO everybody started hating everything that's related to them. And the famitsu thing is because it sounded as if you were trying to say that if IGN or anybody else gives it a bad score, then people will start saying they're biased. Also, when you have high expectations about something and it doesn't live up to the expectations, you just don't talk about it anymore. You don't buy the game or anything related. You just stop caring about it, so MAYBE that's why people don't make threads saying "Hey this game got a bad review". Don't you think? :hmm:

IMO, I think IGN has graded failrly, even when DC was getting higher marks than Ps2....

Simple, the preferd system was getting better scores than any other system... now the preferd system is getting worse scores than any other system. The site used to be fair when Nintendo was ruleing, now it's unfair....

I think people are just angry with IGN. If black mane said what he said that's his problem. Don't generalize. I've hear XBox fans critize it too. At Gamerweb. And PS2 fans too. mostly ps2 fans. I guess they should be mad at their scores.:rolleyes: Maybe it's just that I don't think I know it all.

I go to a horridly biased Xbox board (which has about 200 more members than GT) and they rarely ever dis Gamespot for the scores... in fact, they don't post scores from any sites... the only score topic I seen come up is the 6.9 vs 9.4 comparision of RIW for Xbox..

I still think it's because they started charging. Rather than because they give 'em lower scores.
