Ah yes, I saw that yesterday. I never understand what the Batman hype is about... I liked Begins, but I almost fell asleep during TDK. This new thing... I just don't get it I guess.

He's still doing the voice I see.

I don't know why you keep going to see super hero movies then - you had the same complaint about Thor. Maybe the genre just isn't for you. :p

Yeah, I figured the third movie would have been when he dropped it. :P

Though it seems a lot more toned down than in TDK
Or maybe he isn't breathing heavy yet

Well, this movie takes place a number of years later right? Someone must have told him it sounds silly in all that time. I can never take him seriously as Batman. :(

I'm in the minority of people who like the voice. It serves many purposes - it disguises his real voice and makes him sound scary to the criminals he's beating up.

Sounds like he's perpetually out of breath. It's not even just the voice. His mouth looks weird as well. It's like the mask doesn't allow for enough movement. Ah well. One last movie and then we get a new Batman and I can find something different to complain about.

And I'm in the minority for this, but this series has been my least favorite interpretation of Batman. Plus my least favorite movies that Nolan has directed and Bale has starred in.

I like most super hero movies. I loved The Avengers as you can see in the other thread.
I just never read the comics (that's an American thing I guess). I have a hard time taking something like Captain America serious. And the whole Thor thing seems so farfetched.

With Batman it's something else. He's actually the hero I grew up with most (cartoons etc.). I think he's cool enough and I loved Batman Begins.
I just hated The Dark Knight. It was way too long, nothing happened and the story was all over the place. The only good thing was the villain... and now TDKR doesn't look too promising on that front.

I'll watch it eventually, but I won't have high expactations. I just don't get what's so good about these movies.

To each their own, I guess. Personally, I thought DKR was thematically terrifying and the first "important" comic book movie, as it was a metaphor for very real and modern concerns. Also, the way it was filmed was unique for a comic book movie to that point. It was filmed like a crime thriller, with realistic settings (Chicago). This made for a far more engaging story, IMO, because it felt real and not like a fantasy.

Juxtapose that with the original movie that felt like pure fantasy. I still think the original is a good movie, but it's striking how different two versions of the same universe can be, and how both versions can be extremely successful.
