Yeah, no confirmation has been made as to if you need an HDD or not, its all assumption. You might not need one, because the PS2 is a very powerful machine indeed.

But im getting it the day it comes out, because i already have laid a claim if you will, and pre-ordered a copy fro EB. But sometimes they chooch you out, and say you never were on the list...lowsy conglomerates.

But regardless, i will be buying it no matter how crappy or good the game is supposed, or may be, and regardless of its possible HDD supported gameplay.

That's why you keep the pre-order receipt becuase thats your secondary proof that you did make a pre-order. If you lose it and they say you weren't on the list, then tough luck. Learn from mistakes:p

My EB guys have been great so far. I've preordered stuff up to like 8 months in advance, and never kept the receipts... and they've never screwed me over.

I've only been screwed over once, where they sold my copy to the guy right f****** in front of me. i went up and said:

" I pre-ordered a copy of Vice City"

"I'm sorry, were out"

"What?...i pre-ordered it though, you have to have more in stock"

"Nope, we sold the last one to that guy" *points in direction*

"Did he pre-order it too?"

"no"

"you f****** a******"

And that so far has been my experience with pre-ordering games from EB. I honestly think nazi's run the place.

Which system will you guy's be getting it for?

I know for sure that if the PS2 version needs a hardrive I'll wait for the Xbox version. It will probably have custom soundtracks too so I guess I'll be waiting a few months for my game.

Anyone going to get the PC version?

Vice City and GTA3 were also not going to be released on the xbox/pc.

It's exclusive until they decide enough time has elapsed for a port.

edit: and as I said previously, I will wait for the PC version. The PC version of Vice City didn't take long to be released.

In the IGN article you posted, it says that the PC and Xbox version will arrive after the PS2 version in 2005.

It would be a shame if it didn't come to the xbox :(

I doubt it will come for the XBOX, considering its slightly exclusive.

With that said, i will be buying it for the PS2.
