I think it's funny how his album got pulled from the charts because they though thte stickers gave him an unfair advantage.

But I'm waiting until I get my new acoustic guitar in a few weeks, and I'll splatter one or two stickers on there. Probably of the generic ones, the song names or something. No gigantic Beck face with an eyeball brainhead.

Bands I'm listening to right now are The New Pornographers and Snow Patrol. I've been listening to the New Pornographers for a while but I just went and picked up their first CD. Gloriousness.

Hm when I saw the thread, I realised I wasn't listening to anything. Now Bond made me hear You Give Love A Bad Name, then the shuffle will do wonders.

So that's the reason it got pulled from the charts. I read that somewhere, that it was disqualified from the charts in the UK I think, and it said it was disqualified because of the lack of album art and because of the stickers. But it didn't explain why the stickers were so bad. I thought perhaps it was some strange technicality in the music charts esoteric rulebook, if there is one, that if you have a blank album cover then your album doesn't count. But that didn't make sense to me because the album cover is graph paper so it isn't exactly blank.

But that's still a stupid reason. An unfair advantage? Stickers????

Which acoustic are you getting?

That's what I found hilarious. Because the cover art is customizable, that apparently disqualifies the music itself.

And no idea. Nothing extravagent.

Re: Whatcha listenin to?

I see where you're coming from. Most of the people I've talked to about it like it mainly for the fact that it's supposedley insanely catchy.

Haha, I realized that I'm at fault for being disappointed by the album 100% as I shouldnt be expecting a Fall Out Boy album to be incredibley deep or thought provoking or whatever. It's prolly cus I've been listening to a lot of Dylan, Josh Ritter, Elliot Smith, and other singer songwriters lately. There's no doubt that I'll be singing along to the FOB songs in a couple of weeks anyway.

Bright Eyes - Tourist Trap

Haha, that would do it then.
Not to be all music nazi (but thats what I am) I liked their older stuf fbetter. Their first and second album. Most people dont know they have about 6 albums out. Their first 2 albums were more punk, and raw sounding, and less productioned-pop.

Kasabian - Empire

Beethoven - No. 9 Symphony

Listening to it while working on my senior design project, free download off of a link from Wiki. Funny how I've never heard this symphony before, but I ended up recognizing some of the melodies in No. 9 since they're so saturated in our culture. Beethoven's music is working well as background music.

Thanks for the heads up...I won't be nearly as freaked out anymore...Though hundreds of people usually chant my name at shows anyway. :sneaky:

Dios (Malos) - A$$hole

Sam, I was up on the second level entertaining a female accomplice (whom I met earlier that night and kissed for the first time during "Oh Mandy", aww how sweet) so I dont know if you heard me screamin or not, but pretty much an amazing show nonetheless. Give the drummer of Dios Malos some MAD props because he is INSANE and the end of "Direct to Helmet" gets down to my heart everytime. Thanks for coming:D

Also, new Earth album The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull is fantastically post-rock. It features Bill Frisell on guitar, and Bill Frisell is one of my few guitar heroes.

Ah, what a wonderful piece of your musical journey. California is a twisted but fun album. My favorite is still Disco Volante, so I recommend you listen to that if you have not already.
