Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
I bet it will be...New England/Philly or Pittsburgh/Philly or San Diego/Philly or Indianpolis/Philly or NY Jets/Philly or Denver/Philly or Baltimore/Philly.
See what part stays the same? :D |

I'm cheering for the Eagles to make the Bowl...I mean they have to, right? McNabb and co. need to get it done this year, and I'm pretty sure they will. I still think the AFC wins the big game, though. *edit* I thought I'd throw something else in here. Vote for All Pros, everyone. QB - Manning, McNabb, Brees RB - James, Barber, Martin WR - Owens, Walker, Harrison, C.Johnson TE - Gates, Gonzalez DL - Freeney, Berry, Stroud, S.Rogers LB - Farrior, Lewis, Bulluck, Witherspoon CB - Winfield, Trufant, D.Robinson, McGee (kick returner, too) S - Reed, Polamalu, R.Harrison Best Offense - Colts Best Defense - Steelers Most Balanced - Patriots, Eagles MVP - P.Manning Offensive Player of the Year - A.Gates Defensive Player of the Year - E.Reed |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
It's so sad that there are six teams with a record of 5-7 in the NFC that still have a chance at the playoffs. There are only six teams with a percentage of .500 or higher in the NFC...when in the AFC there are 11 teams with .500 and better. I know it's obvious that for quite some time the AFC has been a much better conference...but the NFC keeps getting worse. I hope there isn't going to be a team with a .500 or less percentage that makes the playoffs.

Best part of this season.
Minnesota. Total. Collapse. Again. Dumbest team in the NFL. |

I just think its part of their master plan. Like...maybe....in the last game of the season...they'll use an Amnesia potion so everyone will forget about how bad they did. |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Tice needs to get the axe. The Vikings are a joke.
Edgerrin James now leads the NFL in rushing AND yards from scrimmage. He should flip off everyone that said he would never return to form after his knee ripped in half in 2001...but he wouldnt because he's a classy guy. If the Colts make a Superbowl appearance, it will be more of a result from his play than Peyton Manning's, in my opinion. GO EDGE! GO COLTS! |
Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
*sigh* Owens is out for 7 weeks. He has a high ankle sprain, and a fracture below his knee..though I don't really know the details. I hope the Eagles do better next week, they were just off yesterday. The defense was fine, but the offense can do much better, and we all know that because of what they've done this season. I know that most of you are going to say that Owens is the main reason for that, but remember against the Packers, it was Westbrook who made all the big plays, and he scored 3 TDs. They have Westbrook and McNabb still, and they're more important that Owens I think.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Wow, I'm speechless, but happy nonetheless. The Patriots just got outplayed by the Dolphins, in a 29 to 28 upset. All I can say is, the Dolphins deserved that one. They made the big plays when it counted, and they where able to move the ball down the field and convert on several third downs. Very nice.

I am pretty sure that he'll be back in the NFC title game no matter what, since they always get that far. |

And the Dolphins win over the Pats was simply awesome. |

Let's not forget about our other AFC Easters. The Bills still have a shot for a wildcard spot. |

Oh! The Vikings just collapsed (again). Everyone say bye-bye to Mike Tice.
