Metroid: zero mission?????

There is a new rumour flying about saying that there is going to be a new metroid for the GBA if its true then definately cant wait for it.

Bored of Metroid Prime already? It seems you're in luck as, according to some preliminary release lists, Metroid is returning to the Game Boy.

Samus may well be returning to a Game Boy Advance near you soon, if some sources are to be believed. The sources claim that they have got their hands on Nintendo of America’s preliminary release lists which state that Metroid: Zero Mission will be appearing on the handheld console. With E3 just around the corner, Nintendo are refusing to comment on the game, a title that would shoot the already phenomenal Game Boy Advance sales through the roof. You can sleep easy in the knowledge that we will keep you updated as we get the information.

Neato. :)

Awsome. I just hope it's a bit more like Super Metroid, in the sense that it should be less linear, while still maintaing the feeling brought about by the story in Fusion.

viruscool 05-08-2003 04:01 PM

Yeah fusion had a great story but the gameplay wasnt as good as super metroid.

well now theres' definite confirmation from those e3 pics of the nintendo board..., this is great news for Metroid fans, hey has the gba player come out yet?

Something about going into rooms and randomly firing your gun in different directions to find a passage doesn't appeal to me. Meh, I'm just crazy.

see, to me it's not usually random firing, but a "vibe" or "feeling" that something might be there... it isn't always, but when you get that hunch and it pays off.. that's such a sweet feeling! Or of course, I could be the crazy one ;)

This game looks pretty good. I want a GBA even more now.

I heard it was a remake of the 1st NES Metroid.

Wonder where they got that idea?

The Duggler 05-16-2003 09:24 AM

hahaha well yhea, it's a bit obvious if you put it that way, but the 3rd one isn't the 1st Metroid is it? Metroid II on gameboy? I never played that one.

As far as I know, none of the metroid games were remakes of previous ones. Metroid II: The Return of Samus for gamboy was ok. The green and small screen made it kind of hard and annoying to play. Also, there was no map to aid you which really sucked.

Hmm... a remake of Metroid 2 would be more welcome in my house, but any Metroid is good. :) Althoug I feel I've played a bit too much with Samus lately...

I'd like to play with Samus....:D

If it is a remake of Metroid (NES), then its been expanded pretty much. Kraid was just a Samus sized little monster in the original Metroid. Plus, Kraid, Ridley, and Mother Brain were the only bosses in Metroid so that eye monster thing is an addition. Also, the outside shot and the red pirate shot aren't anywhere in the original.

I don't its a remake. I think that if anything, Samus returns to Zebes again (maybe the first time, if the game's name means anything [which it of course does]).

*shrugs and walks away*
