The Official Movie Trailer Thread

Can someone sticky this please?

The purpose of this thread is to post trailers of upcoming movies and movies that you think people should see! Feel free to post trailers of obscure movies too...and as always, if embedding with Youtube does not work you can try a different website or you can post a link!

I'll start, here is the trailer for a few upcoming movies:

Splice

The Exploding Girl

The Human Centipede

Survival of the Dead

Super 8

MacGruber

Despicable Me

This is a bit of a personal one here, but cool nonetheless.

The Beast Pageant - Trailer from Albert Birney on Vimeo.

This is my friend Albert's movie that he's working on. You can see me in the trailer at 1:09 in a costume. If you're interested you can donate to their project here. Music from the Spinto Band + friends as well.

You had me at tiny singing cowboy that bursts out of his body.

Ah, Kickstarter. Been hearing a lot about that recently for comic book projects. Will pledge something if I come into any money before the deadline.

So are the 2 oldest kids in or not? I think I'm going to miss them, they were more interesting than the 2 youngest.
Oh and that story doesn't look too interesting... but I'll probably watch the movie some day.

Never Let Me Go looks intersting, although I have no idea what's going on. Knightly has a Marit Larsen haircut (I know, she wasn't the first to have it).

Only a concept trailer but this looks damn cool...especially since it looks exactly like the comic.

Ahh, wow. I've been looking forward to this one. Just saw this post. I like that the asylum is in Brattleboro, VT. Only 20 minutes from where I went to college.

I'll also leave this here.

US remake of Let the Right One In. Looks fine, but it's like remaking the Mona Lisa. The first one is so good it's going to be hard to remake it better. Though I like the casting of Richard Jenkins and Chloe Moretz.

Really looking forward to this movie. Glen Keane (the supervising animator for Aladin, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, etc.) was going to direct this movie but due to health issues handed it off but is still the executive producer, animation director, and wrote the story.

Whee, and another trailer.

I'm glad that Aronofsky did something more out of the box (The Wrestler/The Fighter, too obvious), so I might as well leave the Black Swan trailer here. Looks kinda rad.

^ That looks sort of like Perfect Blue. I know he owns the rights to that movie but believe he acquired them for a scene in Requiem for a Dream.

This movie looks awesome. I love the end of the trailer. "Is Muslim ok?" "I honestly don't know..."

Was kind of hoping this movie was going to be about the Battle of Los Angeles. Especially after recently hearing about the giant butterfly. That could have been cool.

So wait, 03.11.11 means March 11, 2011 right? I hate the way Americans write dates, it makes no sense.
It's even worse when companies like Blizzard start using it on European websites. That's just wrong.

Anyway, another alien movie is always welcome here.

To me the American version makes the most sense, probably because I speak english primarily. March (3), 11th (11), 2001 (11). Not sure how you get more simple than that.

If another language says, say, "the eleventh of March, 2011" then I guess 11.3.11 would make the most sense.

Angrist 11-14-2010 03:43 PM

Re: The Official Movie Trailer Thread

Yes we say '11 maart 2010'. Day first, then moth, then year.
I personally think year/month/date is another great way to write it, I do that in different versions of documents (like my resumé).

But I think we had a thread about this half a year ago. :)
