The Family
Well, the title may not be that descriptive but I couldn't think of anything better.
This weekend I went to jeepnut's house which meant that I spent quite a lot of time with his family (for the first time), in comparison to before. I was a nervous wreck before we left to go there. But I had an awesome time. Did some sightseeing and saw some kid pics and other stuff. What is everyone else's experience with this sort of thing? Anyone got any good stories about meeting your girlfriend/boyfriend's family for the first time? :) Three years and running... PS: The question of the day is: "Who's dumber? The idiot, or the person dating the idiot?" ~courtesy of jeepnut :p |
Re: The Family
I thought you and Jeepnut were just friends? Man, where have I been these past three years, lol.

Re: The Family
I love my parents in law! They're great. :D
It's funny, they're so much nicer than my own parents... at least than my dad. I feel very comfy when I'm at their place. :) |
Re: The Family
i havn't met my "parents in law" yet...so i dunno

When did you get married? |
Re: The Family
My parents-in-law are cool. They always act like they don't want me around. Sometimes its really convincing, like their serious, but I don't let it get to me.
:D |

Re: The Family
Nonono Slave, we didn't get married. But I figured it would be ok to say 'parents-in-law'. Because that's what they're gonna be.
It's cool though, 4 months ago I had nobody and was worried I might never get somebody... now we're already talking about marrying. And don't worry, we won't do anything in a hurry. :D Treebeard says: Now don't be hasty! |
Re: The Family
Good to know you're not rushing into anything...
|
Re: The Family
Eh, most of my girlfriends' parents liked me, all smiles and everything. One of the dad's socked me pretty good though cuz he thought me and his daughter had "done stuff" if you know what I mean.

I don't think I'd want to do it on a beach though. If you walk around on a beach, somehow sand finds its way into the darkerst corners of your body. I can't imagine how messy beach love would be. |

Yeah, was there a joke behind that remark? Cause then I didn't get it.

I wouldn't want to do it on a beach. I hate having sand all over my body. But in a waterfall could be fun :D |

And for the record, I am amazed on how a topic about our relation's parents went to sex. Pleasently amazed, yet amazed non the less. |
Re: The Family
Speaking of Parents having sex...
I was hanging out with this gamer chick named Karen one night. We were at her house playing Halo Co-op and her dad walked by during a cut-scene, laughed, and walked away. We got bored so I asked if she wanted to go for a walk. Said yes, told parents we'd be back in an hour. About 20 mins and a couple blocks down her street she remembers that someone has to call her that so we run back to her house. The Lights were out (it was about 10. Screw curfew) so we thought her parents were sleeping. Quietly she opened the door, and we walked up stairs to her room. Tip-toeing by her parents bedroom we here giggling. Ears to door, we found out that her dad's new nickname was Master Chief  She blushes and sneak into her room and naturally I stay and listen ;) Video game logic made me assume that mom would be Cortana, but sadly I heard her dad say "I'm ready to land Captain Keyes." Fun night. |
Re: The Family
.....that never happened, did it. LOL.
I wouldn't be surprised though, people do weird things. I'd do it in a waterfall too......that'd be cool. And then you could be like, "I did it in a waterfall!" Parents and sex are two things I don't want to hear. |
Re: The Family
In a waterfall like "while falling down a waterfall"? :D
KG, parents and sex kinda made you, you do realise that? :hmm: |

Personally, I've always been afraid of sex on the beach. If the sand reaches certain areas, it could cause a little too much friction...

Re: The Family
A sex on the beach?

Re: The Family
Never tried it...

Re: The Family
Sounds like a good time...
Both, I mean :D |
Re: The Family
What about getting it on inside a giant cup of that on a beach?

Re: The Family
lesse....my girlfriend's family is quite..unique i gues you could say. the mom's very nice, likes to chat about anything. the dad's well, not mundane, but not strange. probably the closest to "level-headed" as possible, but is barly around. her sister is well in a word... a b*tch. seriously. basically, her sister hates me, but meh, whaddya gonna do? and, well my girlfriend, is just nice. We each have our quirks, but she's nice.
so, yeah. that's my lil description. some of the stories are like..way to odd and long, so i won't even bother typing out any of them yet... |

Re: The Family
if things work out for me and happydude ....meet-the-parents-day is seriously not what im looking forward to...its not that i think theres anything wrong with happydude...hes eveyrthin i ever wanted
i just have this feeling my parents will have quite of a shock....and it wont b the 'happy'sort of shock either...my parents are conservative and very traditional....chinese..... k first thing thats running into ur mind now is...*RACIST*!! lol...no...they dont have a problem with me being friends with multiple races...they like all races..they jsut think otherwise when it comes to relationships, getting married and things of that sort...they feel its the difference in culture and traditions that will cause unwanted issues in future... i feel they are partially right...were brought up differently..but i guess we could learn to accept and adapt...*shrug* |
Re: The Family
Don't worry about it, HappyDudette.... They'll hopefully understand once they see you two together. :)

Re: The Family
Everyone's parents like me. :D

Conceited much? My old best friends parents liked...nay..love me more than their own child. Its hilariously awesome. I can just throw it in his face, and instantly hes mad. Like, one time we were at his house, his dad made rice (His dad is Japanese) and he asked if I wanted rice. I said yes. He gave me basically all of it...his dad fed me alot..but then when my friend asked his dad to get some for him he said "What? You can get it yourself!" Owned with Love. |
