So i went to the mall today
 

and saw the Sprint Kiosk... i needed a new phone so i thought i'd check em out.

dude shows me a phone that has, no joke, cable tv on it..

well it was kinda like directv but powered by sprint.

I was watching the discovery channel on a cell phone, and cnn, and fox news... i almost had a heart attack..

Now having TV on your cell phone would be a cool but useful feature, I wonder what the battery life will be like though.

I doubt I would ever have the time to sit around if I'm on the go in order to watch TV. The only spare time I have is when I am home, and when I am there, I prefer to watch a real TV. Also, I like my phone battery to last longer than a day.

well it would be useful for me at times like when waiting at the airport and such. But thats only if its actual TV and not just downloadable clips.

Bah, TV now...

I love my Nokia 3220 exactly as it is. Taking video is enough for me, and pictures are just great, because I don't carry around my camera all the time. And the shots are pretty good quality, too.

You know, I don't even watch TV as it is.

It'd be cool. I bet you have to use some headphones or something because most places would be too noisy to hear unless you put it up to your ear and then you can't see it so...

My concerns are the price and battery life.

Sprint's version is ok but Verizon is releasing on Feb 1st. VCAST thier own form of tv for cell phones but it uses their EV-DO network. (a wireless broadband network)

VCAST willcost about an extra 15 dollars amonth to a plan so i'b gussing Sprints should be around the same

Also from what i have read, battery life is not badly affected by this feature.

I want one too, but there are like, so many types to get...shes all "Find the kind you want". The kind I want? Simple. Flip. Deal. Done. Finito. But no. She wants model number, options, plan ideas, cost, and all that.
