New style
 

The Fusion style is now up and running. Please post any problems encountered here. After you try it for awhile you decide you prefer one of the older styles better, you can still select one at the bottom of your screen. Currently Fusion is the only style which will display your doubloon count. I will soon edit the other styles to display this as well.

Holy crap, that was a shock. I really like this style a lot, it looks great! It's perfect for my tastes. There's on problem I see right now. You know the icons that you can choose for your message, like a piece of paper, a light bulb, thumbs up, or thumbs down? Well they still have the white fuzzy stuff around them, but I guess you can't really do much about that. It's not like many people use those anyway..and I think that we probably had the same problem with the wine red style. Anyway, this looks great!

I may stick with wine red based solely on the fact that I can't find the "new posts" button on the fusion style. And the page is too long for the gigantic resolution my dad has set for our comp.

well i'd like new posts to stand out a little more. but my main problem is the banner at the top doesnt link you to the main forum section. I always use that to go back to the beginning.

soo i'll be sticking with the old style unless that gets fixed.

I really like the look of the new style. It feels... techno-y. Or something like that. Anyway, my only problem is that I always go into each forum and look at the new posts in that forum but it is REALLY hard to tell which threads have new posts. Can anything be done about that?

Everyone is starting off on equal footing. Those that have a lot more than others have been unkowningly doing the things the past few days which gain the most doubloons. Also the payout per thread has been cut in half since that time.

Actually, it's good that you pointed that out. Those are code-generated links - the "forums" extension isn't there, so it links to a page that doesn't exist. I'll look into it.

EDIT: Ok, the top buttons on the main page should work with the entire site now. Let us know if you have any more problems.

as i've posted in the other thread, i think this sty;e needs a bit more attractivness...like more green, whoever suggested that.

and the new posts should stand out more, because i check every forum also, and it Is hard to see.

Love the new style! But I'm nostalgic so I'm sticking to Wine Red until its edited to reflect the new system :D

Anyone else find it strange Nemesis has 150 doubloons but yet he hasnt been on GT for quite awhile :p

As I said in the poll thread, it's a great style, but it could definitely use some more green as many have already said. The new posts icons and the link buttons for "Post Reply", "Submit New Thread", etc. should be some shade of green in my opinion. It would definitely help me find out which threads and forums had new content a lot easier. Basically, all the icons that were characterized by a yellow color in the wine red style should be green in this style.

Looks super cool! I like this look, awesome man. Black/Pink and Black/Mint combos are ill... So I suggest you make a Black/Pink for me please.

I agree with Jeepnut and everyone else who said there should be more green, and that the new posts aren't labeled very well. Maybe for the new posts, the links should be the green color, and I noticed that there are bubbles next to each board..and it indicates any new posts. Instead of the symbol for that bubble, maybe you shoudl make the bubble turn green when there are new posts in that board. And the "Submit Reply, Preview Post, and Spell Check" buttons shouldn't be black..because they blend in with the background. Though I think someone said that too.

I could totally go for a black/pink color. :D I would also like to see a Black/Purple skin.

The only thing I want changed is for the color other than black (currently green) to be used a little more. A few 1 pxl lines aren't enough color for me.

I think there should be one style which is customizable.

Not completely, not like, the style, and layout, just the colour.

Like, whats green now, (on the New Style) could be customized to whatever the user wants.

The background can be whatever colour he/she wants as well.

I think that would be "revolutionary" for a forum.

Think about it.

No more members complaining about colours, or requesting new ones, because everything they want is right there.

I'm just saying like, for people who don't like any of the styles, they're kind of boned.
