Early Clan Business

Well, if we do plan on starting another GT Clan, there is some basic business to take care of.

First, we need a name. I'm thinking something with a bit of humor to it, but don't need to limit your suggestions to that. Also would be nice if encompassed the whole board.

Second, we need to work on consoles and games people can play online. So post here what system you own and what games you prefer to play online.

I own a Xbox 360. Gamertag is Bond.

Play these games online:

Halo 2
Gears of War
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Crackdown
Splinter Cell D.A.
G.R.A.W.
Texas Hold'em

My online played games: Warcraft 3 + TFT, in the future SSB:B. Yes, I know, it's pathetic.

Remember when you kids got together a guild for last generation because the Gamecube was totally supposed to have some online capabilities?

I play the following games online:

Possible.. easily. will it have that ability... no. my guess is Microsoft is keeping that from happening at this time, i think they're probably trying to think of some method that will work to make the pc gamers pay as the xbox live users do. (which wont happen)

epic has said its easily possible to make PS3 PC and 360 all play together. but for obvious reasons that wont happen.

then epic goes on to say the reason Gears of War wont be PC vs 360 is they wanted to get it out on time... which i dont buy, because they already said how easy it was to do. again i think MS is preventing it.

Epic though just announced PS3 version of UT3 will have full keyboard/mouse support.... add that with the already announced support of Mods made on PC to work on PS3... then the fact that PS3 is free to play online... UT3 might actually end up being PC vs PS3 it seems. or at least looks to be heading that way.

of course even if a game doesnt come out... it would be easy for any company to add that support in an update to come out later. but as of right now.. no TF2 vs 360. :(

I have a Wii, but nothing to play online at the moment. I could play WoW if we wanted to start an official GT guild somewhere in that.

Haha I actually tried that after looking at your profile, but I think I put a number 0 instead of the letter O in NullifiedOne.

Well for names...

We could have two groups...

airborne Pirates

And Scuba Ninjas

This way.. if ever need big battles.. have groups to go against...

Bond 08-07-2007 11:48 AM

Re: Early Clan Business

Haha. I like Airborne Pirates. Could make a good logo out of that too.

I really dont play anything online at the current moment. That being said, if we are able to start up some sort of clan I will be willing to start playing again. There's a couple games on PC I could play online, and anything on Wii when the games come around. I do like this idea.

Oh, those of you who play CSS on Steam, add stljason1 to your friend list...that should be me at least...

Okay sorry about that im about to leave for work I'll have to check it out later, is your friend name the same as the one you use to login to steam, or just the nickname you would use in CounterStrike? If its the latter its probably not working becuase my brother likes to mess with his nick...

It's the former, we need your Steam login. I think the email you used to sign up would also work -- I'm not sure though, and I've always heard it's a bad idea to plaster your email around the web.

After that shameful showing in the Guess the Game thread...

Think the clan should either go by

Sonic Rejects

or

The Cream Team

Oh please, not everyone has played all of the, oh, infinity Sonic games made. Especially the one with some rabbit character I've never heard of from a handheld system no less.

Sweet.

Make sure to take full advantage of Marketplace too. Some awesome demos and videos are up. And it's rumored there might be a BioShock demo going up tonight as well.

Re: Early Clan Business

Yeah, im really enjoying the console. There seems to be some sort of problem with my nic though. I can hear everyone fine enough, but when i talk to people they can only hear me half the time or in static bits. Its not on mute, and i just cant figure out what the problem is.

Bond 08-12-2007 04:56 PM

Re: Early Clan Business

I would advise recording a voice message and then playing it back to see if there is a problem with the audio that is being recorded out of your mic. If there is, trying adjusting the cable, make sure it's connected, etc.

I had to replace the mic on my original Xbox because I had a similar problem, but the mic for my 360 has been fine.

I tried doing this and well, i can hear myself, but only very very very very very
very faintly. Im just wondering now if this is covered by some sort of warranty. I e-mailed microsoft with the promise of getting a response. why the fuck does a new headset break right out of the box?! seriously, this fucking blows

Fox 6 08-12-2007 10:15 PM

So i talked to an Indian tech support guy and they're willing to replace, but i have to ship my dam headset across the country to Toronto.

Bond 08-12-2007 10:17 PM

Re: Early Clan Business

Yeah... well, at least they'll replace it.

I'm sure you did this, but the mute is off and the volume is all the way up, right?

Yup, the stupid guy asked me that question like 24 times.

I basically have to shout to even hear the smallest noise, and its very fuzzy and just sounds like the teacher from the peanuts cartoons.

Angrist 08-13-2007 03:53 AM

Re: Early Clan Business

My brother has the same problem with his PC microphone, for him it's a software problem, because a new mic didn't help.

Fox 6 08-13-2007 09:18 PM

Re: Early Clan Business

I wonder if it could be some sort of frequency interference. The mic was working fine at my friends house the day before. I may have to do some experimenting with it.

Fox 6 08-26-2007 02:00 PM

Re: Early Clan Business

UPDATE: If you go to the retailer and complain enough they will open up a new 360 bundle to extract the headset, and then give it to you. That is if you have the reciept. ( which my mother almost threw away)

So yeah, im now voice capable again :D
