Huge orginal content from Nintendo??

Well since the GC launched, Nintendo fans have agrued that there hasn't been much orginal content from the Big N ( with the exception of Pikmin). Basically all the games released have been sequels or rehashes. However I've been thinking, most of Nintendo's franchises have been handle by mostly second parties, with the exception of Lugi and Pikmin, and now Nintendo has given Namco and Sega two of their popular franchises Starfox and F Zero.

So this doesn't leaves what?? Well when Mario, Metroid and Zelda get released this year ( hopefully) , this would mean that Nintendo would have done most of their franchises from previous generations...hence leaving Nintendo open to make.....get ready.
*drum roll*

New franchises/ games.......really just think about it.
The only games that we know Nintendo is working on are Mario party, Zelda and Mario and probadly Kirby and Mario kart. Just five games?? For a big company like Nintendo ...hmmmmm I don't think so....I think that they have alot of orginal content coming out soon ( and no I don't mean Pikmin 2). Hopefully they'll let us know by either 2003 or 2004. :D

Cheers. Here's to hoping that I'm right

Oh yeah here's a link about the space at E3...I think the M$ section looks too small.

Yeah, i agree, i believe there is lots of original stuff coming from Nintendo in the near future. Look at Metroid Prime, that game is gonna rock!

Angrist 05-10-2002 03:31 AM

:D:D
I remember how one year ago we discussed the same thing! How Nintendo had the biggest floor! :D

Shadow_Link 05-10-2002 06:09 AM

That's a pretty good point Angrist. I think it may only be logical o think that ninendo is thinking of new franchises. They have obviously freed up some time by co developing some games such as F-Zero and Starfox. And though the 'rumour had died 'down', does anyone still reckon Nintendo and Sega will co-develop a game? Though I doubt it, you can never rule out the possibility.

And even at last years E3, we had a glimpse of what was coming from Nintendo. They unveiled Pikmin, which was a new franchise at the time, and also talked another new franchise, an action adventure/RPG type game, I think C.H would remember the details about it.

Oh, lets not forget about Wario World. I wonder what else is being cooked up in the Nintendo camp :D.

But the sony stand is the same size if the screens are right!

jeepnut 05-10-2002 01:16 PM

Tough to see, but if they are different, then it is only by a few square feet.

Joeiss 05-10-2002 03:51 PM

Microsoft and Sega have like the same amount of space... I expect more games from Sega, though. Because of all the different games for all systems it will be showing.

What's the U.S. Army doing at E3? Last I checked, they don't create electronic entertainment...

Have you been hiding under a rock? They are going multi-console! This is the greatest news of all time!

They make a bunch of great games.. Oh! The great games they make!

Yeah I noticed that too... :hmm::confused:

I was surprised to see my post in this thread.... I thought it was about the E3 floor or something so I posted it...
Next time I'd better first read the thread before I post... :(

TheGame 05-10-2002 06:53 PM

Ya'll can't be serious.... you REALLY think that Map is Scale

It's just like last year, one map is more Zoomed out. (obviously the Second one)

On one Floor, there is Nintendo, Sony, and Sega... then what?

On the other Floor every big third party(cept Sega), and then Microsoft, and the Map as a whole seems to be smaller in Space than the Nintendo floor?

Makes no sense... just like last year, Map 2's floors are about 4x as big as they look.

GameKinG 05-10-2002 07:35 PM

Maybe the army will show us what typeds os simulation games they use in training.

Nintendo's booth is slightly bigger, but it sppears to be for both sony and nintendo the same place as last year. I think they just reserve those spaces way in advance.

Joeiss 05-10-2002 07:37 PM

Or maybe they are just trying to get people to join the navy.

Square is either at the Sony or Electronic Arts booth

(EA would make more sense because they have both cube games and a GCN game)

and like I said before... the second map is about 4x as big as it appears

No, just look at the number in Sega's spot. Compare that to the small spots beside it.

Bond 05-12-2002 12:11 AM

Damn, I can't believe TeamXbox.com has their own E3 booth. Something is really screwed up there.

Idiot 05-12-2002 06:40 AM

Well..... perhaps Nintendo will steal the show as they did in that E3 three years ago...... or then again, perhaps not.....

:hmm: they stole the show last year.... is that what you mean? :hmm:

And Nintendo has so many new titles to show, they have a good chance of stealing the show again!

Revival 05-12-2002 11:03 AM

Well, here's how it always will work:

Xbox fans will say Xbox stole the show, that they were the winners of Eł
GameCube fans will say Nintendo stole the show, that they were the winners of Eł
Sony fans will say Sony stole the show, that they were the winners of Eł

It's like this every year.

Xantar 05-12-2002 08:41 PM

It's just like the award winning screenplay says:

Quote:

NINTENDO FANBOY: (pointing excitedly at 4 seconds of GameCube footage) See? See?!? What did I tell you? Nintendo rocks!!!!

SONY FANBOY: (pointing excitedly at the same 4 seconds of GameCube footage) See? See?!? What did I tell you? Nintendo sucks!!!!!!
:p

Revival 05-12-2002 08:43 PM

True Xanny, true :D

Angrist 05-13-2002 08:48 AM

Hehe... :D

But really, every neutral source said that Nintendo stole the show, and that Nintendo's booth was the most crowded.

Maybe because the booth was small or in a bad position :p

The truth (about the winner) is in the eye of the beholder. Whichever system somebody prefers will always be the winner in their eyes. (unless it's obvious, which it wasn't last year)

Quoth me a few posts above! :p

Blackmane 05-14-2002 02:05 AM

Ah, E3, I can't wait... Its always an exciting time of year for all gamers.

Revival 05-14-2002 06:35 AM

Jin asked why IGN doesn't have a booth -- has IGN ever had a booth at E3 before?

thatmariolover 05-14-2002 10:39 AM

I want to go to E3 so bad. I can't wait until I'm 18.

Professor S 05-14-2002 12:16 PM

You would think that if TeamXBox.com, of all people, had a booth that IGN would. TeamXBox must have some serious financial backing or some really good contacts to get in there.

Revival 05-14-2002 02:43 PM

I wonder how much a booth costs at E3.. maybe GameTavern can get one :D

;)

Xantar 05-14-2002 05:40 PM

GameTavern isn't even sending anyone to E3. Well, for some reason, I get the impression that gekko would be able to go if he wanted. But he's not a staff writer here, and besides, he hates us all.

j/k...sort of :D

Revival 05-14-2002 06:06 PM

Let's send BLueFire to represent us.. I can just imagine the news stories now:

American Journalist goes nuts at Japanese Gaming Conference, 2 dead.

 :p

BlueFire 05-14-2002 06:10 PM

Ah, but it would be 4 more years before I can even think about going to Eł. Hmmm...Shooter's predictions are accurate, though. I would bring a nice range of weapons. :boo:

Revival 05-14-2002 06:29 PM

Good luck getting past airport security :D

IGN does have a booth. It's probably not on those two pics though. I know I read about the IGN booths in their forum. They have one that is actually like a room where they can seat and type up their notes.

I can remember all of the official magazines of each system saying their console stole the show. Because one reason or the other. When the real thing was that they all had good things and bad things. But, not the same good things.
