Well, kids. It's almost time for the games to begin!

First thing's first... here's the tournament bracket:

Simple enough, right? I'll be updating it as time goes by.

Next, Rules and dates!

We're starting with Round 1 and it'll be fairly simple. Here are the rules!

Round 1
Best out of THREE matches!

The 1st Match:
NO items
Stock: 4
Random Stage

The 2nd Match:
Items MUST be present
Stock: 4
Random Stage

The 3rd Match (if necessary):
Use of items decided between participants.
Stock: 4
Stage: Final Destination


Next, dates!

Round 1 will start Thursday, July 31st. You will have until Sunday, August 3rd to complete Round 1. I will close Round 1 at 10:00 PM EST on Sunday. You should have more than enough time to complete this.

It would be a good idea if the contestants posted contact information, such as AIM, E-mail, MSN, Gtalk, etc. You should get in contact with your opponent immediately.

Once you've finished your matches, please report the results here. Also, make it interesting.. tell us the details of your matches. Any "LOL-worthy" moments? Was it close? Was it a beat-down?

OK, then! I have not heard from Flunkie or OneWingedAngel... so Vampyr is still opponent-less. I hope this will be solved soon. :p

Anyways, it is now Thursday! Round 1 has officially started. Please remember to have your matches completed before Sunday at 10:00 PM EST .

Oh yeah, even though this is obvious, make sure you're not downloading something (like a torrent) before you being your matches.. save the bandwidth for the Wii since Nintendo's online gaming sucks.

I've spoken with OneWingedAngel and he will replace dmitri on the bracket. I will update that in a bit. Vampyr, your opponent is now OWA, but you're on vacation now :p So... when you get back on Sunday, hopefully you guys can get your matches settled.

He can be a fiesty one. I certainly hope, if I lose, that I at least take Yoda to round three. Two rounds just doesn't seem like I'm getting my money's worth.

Some keep a character until they lose (like me).
Some will only play with the same character.

Aw man! I didn't know! I totally wouldn't have switched off Sonic to Ike after realizing he couldn't knock people out who are as big as Ganondorf.

OWA has defeated me, on the third match at Final Destination. Pretty epic struggle on all matches, one LOL moment was when I got pwned by a single Ice Climber. :D
