Ideal Console Combination?
 

At this point, if you could look back and choose a certain console combo, what would you advice people purchase/not purchase.

The option that has 3 choices should be:

"Wii + PS3 + Xbox 360"

I would truly be a masochist to suggest paying for 2 PS3s.

This is what I get for posting stuff at 4 in the morning.

As a Sega fan, I have to say all three.

If I were limited to two, I really don't know which ones I would pick. Without a home theater, I wouldn't get the PS3 because most of the benefits are eliminated without one. I honestly thought I was fine with 360 + Wii for a long time, but then I got a home theater setup and changed my opinion very quickly. And I'm extremely happy that I went with one, because MGS4 was such an amazing experience. Valkyria Chronicles followed that up right after - the CANVAS engine looks phenomenal.

At this point, I would go with 360/Wii combo.
My PS3 is just an expensive movie player at this point.
I do love Uncharted and can't wait for part 2 though.

I'd say Wii + 360. Even though I only own a Wii.

I said just the PS3.
I love it, still.
I don't think if you combined the Wii sensor to anything else, it would be any more successful - it would still slightly be a gimmick, with better graphics.

It shows you how far my rationalizing goes.
Anyways, I'd still just go with PS3 and Wii then.
Possibly leaning towards only PS3.

I live with just a Wii. Actually, at the moment I just live with a Cube.

You asked for an ideal combination. If I were into gaming a bit more, I'd probably want a 360 too. If you asked about the consoles we owned, you might have got different results.

I chose all three since it's an ideal scenario, but I think the results would have been more interesting without that option.

I'm content 360 only at this point, and don't really regret selling the Wii (well, that was for money purposes not dislike purposes). No urge to rebuy with how Nintendo is supporting it. Just not the kind of things I prefer. Ideally though? That can vary based on family or any living situation. So I can't choose for an overall :p
