Cake or Pie

Battle of deserts. Who will win....

Boring, generic, cake...the stuff you have at every birthday party, and at every wedding....

or delicious pie! Pie is like the porn of desert...that hard crust and that gooey filling that fills you up....

Oh man my tongue is salivating right now. Obviously I'm a pie man.

Also, pie solves math. What does cake do? The only redeeming quality of cake is that occasionally naked women jump out of it.

But think of all the lame ass cake out there. The best cake is ice-cream cake, or alcohol cake. Even pancakes are better than cake, and you have to put butter and syrup on that shit. My point is, cake as a stand alone desert is OVERRATED!

So what would you rather eat/put your penis in?

Wow this thread isn't biase at all.
There is no way people would guess you prefer pie. :lolz:  :lolz:

I said I'm a pie man in my last post....I think that removes any of this "bias" you speak of. ;)

To answer you're question there at the end, you can fuck a pie, but you can't fuck a cake.

So I think we all know which is better.

At some point I would have said cake, but I've really grown to love pie. Pumpkin and cherry especially.

Ehm, what exactly is the difference? We only have 1 word: taart. Or maybe 2, if you count gebak.

Re: Cake or Pie

I have to hold up the cake front. You realize there's more types than just birthday cake, right? Let me demonstrate:

Carrot Cake (by far the best)
Angel Food Cake
Devil's Food Cake
Black Forest Cake
Chocolate Sour Cream Cake
Cupcake
Gingerbread
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Fruitcake (also a good insult word)
Sponge Cake

And...

CHEESECAKE. I can't believe not one of the pie lovers doesn't enjoy a good cheesecake. I'm sure we'd have full support from the females if we had any regular female members here.

Re: Cake or Pie

I would like to join the Cake Defense Force, but first I would like to point out that two people pointed out you could use pies for less than normal reasons as their defense... and come on... pies are for clowns to throw at people.

Now if you want to talk about something that is with you in good times... I mean as he said cakes are at birthdays and weddings. Time for celebration, which just goes to show the purity of the cake. You don't screw it in a movie. You don't deface it by using it as a weapon. You embrace it.

Let's start off with the grand-daddy of them all, cheesecake

So rich and creamy and delicious how can you go wrong?

I know I know.. You are drowling right now... but the ball is just rolling.

Cyclops kitten cake I made. Can a pie be as disturbingly cute and tasty? I think not.

Thanks for the awesome picture post.

Also, if you're on the fence, I heartily recommend that you watch the Ace of Cakes on the Food Network. That will turn you into a cake lover.

When the hell did Gingerbread become cake? Isn't that a cookie....

But let us talk about cheese cake. Wikipedia defines it as:
Quote:

Cheesecake is a large family of sweet, cheese-based tarts and cakes.[1] Cheesecakes are generally made with soft, fresh cheeses.[2] Other ingredients such as sugar, eggs, flour, and liquids are often mixed in as well. Typically, the filling covers a crust, which may be pastry, cookie, digestive biscuit or any similar biscuit.
I want to key in on the part that says,
"Typically, the filling covers a crust, which may be pastry, cookie, digestive biscuit or any similar biscuit."

In my experience, the best cheesecake is the one with crust. Wait, what?

Isn't that like a pie?

A pie...in disguise?

Name another cake where crust is a typical integral part. That's a pie, baby.

Also, not to get technical, but if we are going to argue about types of cake, like carrot cake and stuff, then we should add "Pizza Pie" to the list.

yes, pizza pie is a pie.

I'm pretty sure that is check and mate bitches.

I'm just waiting for that last person to click on the little "pie" vote option....since they wouldn't want to be stranded alone on a desert island with just cake when us pie folk will be chowing down on our cheesecake, pizza pie, and pie mmm....

also blueberry cake? yeah right! blueberry pie is best thing ever.

Semantics! Pizza has a crust and arguably a filling...just like cheese cake.

Also, it is slang in many places to refer to a pizza as a "pie."

I won't argue or try to argue that pizza is a dessert, because it is not. And this thread is the battle of the desserts.

Having said that, I still maintain that Cheesecake shares more qualities of a pie (filling, crust) than a cake. Even the way it is cooked and prepared mirrors a pie more closely than a cake.

Just because some drunk homeless guy called cheesecake "cheesecake" the first time it was named does not mean it was properly categorized.

Despite their name, cheesecakes are technically tarts, that is, open-topped pies; the word 'cake' was formerly applied to a much broader category of foods than it is today.
I still prefer cake...don't I? I am so very confused now.

and custards are fillings for PIES, BITCH!

Cheesecake is a cake.
Suck it.
