Metroid Prime Trilogy
This is probably the second greatest deal in video game history behind The Orange Box.
3 of the best games ever on one disc with retrofitted controls for the Wii. Say what you will about the Wii, but some games actually do improve with the controls, and Metroid Prime was one of those games. ![]() http://wii.ign.com/articles/985/985793p1.html Quote:

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
VERY NICE. Some exceptionally good news, very little gets me excited on the Wii anymore.
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
This looks really good, I loved 3's controls scheme.
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Great deal, but I already own all games.
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
this is cool, cus iv had 3 for a while yet did not want to play it cus i never played 1 and 2....so....I guess this would work...
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Sell MP3 while it's still worth some coins.
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
I own all 3, but would've definitely bought it if I didn't have the 3rd one..
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
I've already got all three, but I might get this just for the simple fact that the first two games will be retooled for widescreen. I'm not very crazy about how you can only score medals from playing against people on wi-fi though.

Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
IGN has movies of MP up, they look great. Makes me want to replay that game... preferably with MP3 controls.
But I won't budge. Not for €50. |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
You're getting sweet boxes!
http://www.cubed3.com/news/12623 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A tin with a wrapper. I'm thinking about selling my Metroid Prime games. Now I can still get decent money for them! |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Also comes with an art booklet, which is something cool.
All of this for normal price. |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Woah, nice. How much you think you can get if you sold your others? $2, $3? :p But seriously, I wonder. If I could get $15 for the other three, the price for the trilogy might be worth it.
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
I think MP3 goes for €20+, MP2 for €15+, MP1 for €10+. Here in Holland. That would actually add up pretty nicely. :)
|
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Looks cool. Would probably buy it if I had the cash and time!
Where is everyone?:mischief: |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Hoooooly crap, Shadow Link!! :D
|

How are you, how is your family? Are you back for some time, or just dropping by? :) |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Hey BAB and Blue Fire, I've been struck down by Swine Flu (heh, quite funny for a Muslim eh?). It's only mild, and possibly not even the swine variety, but I get to take at least a week off work. That means I actually get time to go on the net and surf
Family's fine guys, thanks for asking! Although I have persuaded my wife to take the kids and herself to her parent's house while I am still infectious. I'll stick around for a bit, and possibly longer :p Hope life hasn't been too precarious for ya Bube? If you ever need to chat, drop me a PM. Anyone know what ever happened to Xantar and erm... what's his face... The guy with the most posts?! (edit: just remembered it was DeathsHand). |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Sorry to hear that, I hope you get well soon :(
Well, like I said, there were a few bad moments, especially the few years in a school I absolutely despised, and my decision to leave school and transfer to another one. After leaving, it was a very rough few months until I got accepted into a different school. But it all ended well, and like I said, it's all going really good right now :) Xantar doesn't hang around here anymore I think. DeathsHand posts much less than he used to, but he's still around.. |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Xantar is often on his msn/aim/etc.
And hey there SL. :) Nice to hear from you. And yes, that is ironic. :D |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
So I bought this yesterday. I never got a chance to beat Prime 2 since I borrowed it, and I just didn't bother getting Metroid Prime 3 for some weird reason..but when I heard that this was coming out I decided to wait for it. It's pretty sweet, I must say. I do like the controls a lot on the Wii. Also, it was interesting playing Metroid Prime with these controls. I was kind of sluggish with the first part, but I knew what I had to do at least. I haven't gotten really far yet into Metroid Prime 3, but I love the grapple the most so far. It's also strange interacting with people in a Metroid game, but I like it. Doesn't make the game feel so lonely at first haha. But I'm at a part where it has turned into a one woman show, but I was expecting it.
Also, I'll beat Metroid Prime 2 later, I just never liked it that much. |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Holy shit, I found a save station..PHEW. Ever feel that way?
*Spoiler* So I am playing Metroid Prime 3, now that I have the trilogy, and I was in the process of getting the seeker missiles. If anyone has played this game, they know why I said that up above. All of those metroids were locked up due to the energy cell still being in place, and I knew I'd have to power down the protective glass by taking the energy cell out, in order to get an upgrade at the end of the maze, so I knew I would have to destroy all of those metroids on the way back. I got to a save station, and I just slumped in my chair. I don't know how I killed four at a time, but I did. |
Re: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Yeah I think I remember that, tense situation. :D
I wish you could easily replay some moments of games. Like the first fight with Ridley. |
