GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I wasn't quite sure where to post this, as i don't want to distrupt the game, but i'm finding it thoroughly entertaining. The little bit of bickering which has occured in the first round made me chuckle, i eagerly anticipate the rest of the game. I will refrain from posting any suspicions, but encourage non participants to take a gander.
Reminds me of when i played survivor on here years ago, though i don't remember to many specific details, i do remember enjoying it. Bluefire played in that game as well, do you remember anything about it ole Bluefire. Anyone remember the never ending story, it wasn't a game as such, but very amusing. |

The never ending story was a lot of fun. Perhaps we should revive it or start a new one? |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I think I'm going to run another infection based game a little while after this one wraps up.

Could you somehow do a Paranoia-based one? Because that would be pretty sweet if it somehow would work. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I think we have a long and impressive history of forum games (Survivor, Trivia, Mafia, Animal Wars...).
Hopefully we can continue that in the future. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
If you feel i am wrong in posting this Bond, by all means delete the post and tell me off. But am i allowed to comment on who has already been voted out?
I think players should take time to consider what has happened in the previous round, and concentrate on just how the guardian was voted out. ^feel free to delete this if you feel its interfering^ Still, keep up the bickering, its entertaining. I was tempted to make a post and propose taking the place of manasecret in round one (certainly would have made things interesting to make people use there votes), but seeing as i'm in a completely different time zone to everyone (Japan), and only have the late evening free, i decided not to. Though i am sometimes free after work, i tend to either be trying to chat up Japanese woman at starbucks, drinking in a local izakaya and hiding from the old lady who owns the place (she keeps saying she wants my babes), or drinking with my crazy Japanese friend at a yakitori bar. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
C.H, you are free to talk about the game. :)

Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
:mad2: Fucking, mother fiucking, bastard vigilante. I was enjoying that game :(

Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Worry not, Ric.
I'm prepping the next mafia game as we speak. |

This has been a very interesting game so far. Thanks Bond.

Sure. Only players who have been killed may not discuss the game.

I mean your game, but if you open up for outsiders to discuss theories and stuff, I can see that being a slippery slope. But good to see we are getting people interested. Maybe more folks will sign up for the next one since know what it is now. And tell all your friends. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Let's not discuss the game. At least not too much.
And let's also not talk about the next one until this one is finished. It feels like an insult to Bond's game. |

I suspect Terthida, Bube, Dylflon and Breakabone. Do i win a prize if i'm right on any of these, a hug would do. Maybe outside players can gamble in hug currency. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Next time just play. :) The time difference shouldn't be a huge problem, especially when you decide not to read EVERYTHING.
But it looks like you are reading everything. ;) |

Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Ok so I am over my initial anger now, I am going to be following this game still because I think it is just starting to get really interesting.
At the time of posting this the votes currently stand at - Dylflon - 3 BreakABone - 4 Jeepnut - 1 6 left to make thier votes. This does not finish until 2am for me but I am going to stay up late and see what happens. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Bond, do you want to play in the next game or do you want to co-run it with me?
|
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I'll leave it to you my good sir!
|
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Hah there I was expecting round 3 to end when I realised that I did not read the ending time properly, it actually finishes at 3 am gmt so it looks like I am staying up later :lolz:
Well the votes are currently at - BreakaBone: 4 jeepnut: 4 Dylflon: 1 Swan: 1 BlueFire: 1 ThatMarioLover: 1 It appears that only Dylflon has yet to vote. Being in a 'Tie situation* is pretty hairy I can tell you, it's all about luck if it comes down to that coin toss and it seemed like an eternity to me before the results were posted last night. Tie situation* - meaning when your vote is equal to another players, not when you are flying your x-wing and you have a tie interceptor on your arse  ![]() |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
While we wait for the results, I have to say that was probably one of the single most enjoyable rounds of Mafia yet
|
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
It seems Breakabone has been voted out, were my suspicions correct? I guess we will find out very soon. I don't think Jeepnut is mafia, and despite Dlyflon changing his vote to Breakabone, i'm still suspicious of him, which brings Breakabone further into doubt.
I know some aren't so sure about talk of the game outside the game thread, but it gives ex players like a Ric a place to talk about it, though i realise they can't say too much. But by all means, if some feel talk should be restricted, maybe slight rules can be written. Though i think it makes the whole situation more interesting. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I say talk about the game, but avoid talking about guilty and not guilty.
I realize everyone has their own opinion, but since it will be a mix of ex, current and non-players, easier to have a lateral set of rules so nothing slips that shouldn't slip. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I dont think ex-players should be able to comment on their personal opinions on the game but I think it is fair for Non-players to do so. If anything it could proove to be constructive for some players to see an outside perspective. Now I have an outside perspective my opinions are I think different to what they would be if I were still in the game.
Cant wait till the results come up. What do you guys reckon to the new avatar? It seemed fitting. |

Since this was a prediction I made in round 2, before my untimely death, nothing gives me more pleasure right now than to do the childish thing ( for which I make no apology ) of saying 'I TOLD YOU SO' And now I also know who was responsible for my demise. Betrayed by my own side. |

Fyacin? Who was your second choice had you not taken me out? Just out of interest. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Actually since we are asking Fyacin questions.
Why didn't he kill anyone on the first and third day? I assumed he was playing it safe, but that's not the fun of Mafia. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Okay, I hate to limit speech, but to preserve the integrity of the game, I think we have to restrict what people can or cannot say a little more.
Past players and observers are allowed to post commentary on what is going on in the game, but posting your theories and / or making recommendations as to what players should do is not allowed. Posts should be reactionary to what is going on in the game, if that makes sense. Again, I hate to do this, but I have to make sure the game remains fair. |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I honestly think there should be NO comment on the game if you are out of the game or dead. At all.
Say the game is great, you wish you were in it. But as soon as you start saying who to vote for etc, and who you're suspicious of, you start influencing the game, and I don't believe that's fair. I will not lock it, because it's not my game, but I highly suggest that this thread be locked, Bond. Edit: It seems my Whiskey sight didn't let me see your post. |

Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
I can not really see that I have said anything that would ruin the game. Unless Fyacin's answer to my questions is someone that is still in the game.
And I was speaking about the round I was alive in, I first predicted BaB was evil and sowed the first seeds of doubt. Now that has come to fruition I have been proven correct. So why can I not comment on that? all I said was, I told you so. I have not offered any personal opinions on the game since I died. I do not want to interfere with the game. I do not see that I have done anything wrong. I believe this thread should be open for those non- (not ex) players to express their opinions, otherwise the game is kind of restricted from the rest of the members in the forum. How can they be expected to say nothing about what is probably the best thing going on at GT at the moment? :lolz: |
Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
It's nothing that you personally did, Ric. It's just having past members discuss theories and whatnot opens up a whole can of worms, and could very well adversely affect the game.
It's unfortunate that there can't be much discussion by members voted out, but the game is based on trust / secrecy, so there has to be some of that even when you're no longer playing. There will be a post-game thread, though, where everyone can freely talk about the game. |

Re: GT Starwars mafia, better than TV
Ok so can anyone explain this -
![]() Changed to - ![]() Why in the hell did this get changed? It's fucking stupid and makes no sense. Anikin would have been an old man by then. So what? he dies and becomes young again when the other jedi do not. What a load of crap. My avatar supports the true vader. George Lucas is a bloody moron. And now it's 'Spot The Difference' ![]() ![]() |

Hm his harmonica seems a bit smaller in the 2nd pic.
Also: why the pointy head? Was his mask too tight? |
