Some of this information was in the x10 thread, but figured not many saw the ever expanded first post.

The beta for Reach multiplayer goes live on May 3rd if you have the ODST disc.

And this new Vidoc



The game looks to have really enhanced the graphics engine. I'm actually kind of looking forward to it.

But guess shall ask since Bond mentioned he has kind of moved on from Halo, has the franchise peaked? I mean it is no longer the "it" game of the generation that seems to have gone to Modern Warfare.

No. As a COD4 nut, I think Reach is easily the most impressive game I've ever seen. As long as they nail the game play, and we all know they will, this game is going to be amazing.

I actually love the Halo series a lot.
I can't wait to play this. Me and my friend get every Halo game on the release date, get a case of beer, sit down - and finish the game in one sitting, every time.
I am quite looking forward to that.

You should read Halo: The Fall of Reach.
Really good book and you can get a bit of a back story on the planet.

Yeah, I agree with what others have said...Halo is still awesome and I'll probably be picking this up on launch day.

A few of the guys I work with and I will probably play through it on the hardest difficulty in a couple of sittings.

The remake of Midship looks interesting.
Though one of my least favorite maps due to the excessive sticky nade spamming.

Well I already beat the game, along with getting such illustrious achievements as 1,000,000 points in a firefight match.

I like how things got nicely tied together by the end of the game, and makes you understand the first game a lot better.

Now my goal is to play and beat them all sequentially:

Halo: Reach
Halo Wars
Halo: Combat Evolved
Halo 2
ODST
Halo 3
(ODST and Halo 3 happen at the same time, but I'd rather finish with 3)

Halo Wars would actually be the first one if you want to beat it sequentially.
And ODST happened at the same time as Halo 2, even though its called "Halo 3: ODST". :p

But yeah, I beat it yesterday too, and I really liked the ending.

Invasion is the best game mode. Combine and I own all.
