Beer: glass, can or bottle?

Where do you prefer to drink it from?? :D

I prefer a can, then a glass and then a bottle. I hate drinking it from a bottle... :green:

Jonbo298 07-02-2002 04:35 AM

Well, since Im not of legal age yet, I'll just hypothesize. I would prefer can, glass, bottle. But I don't think I've seen too much beer in a plastic bottle. But gotta love the longnecks!:D

Angrist 07-02-2002 07:48 AM

A glass bottle, not a plastic one!

fingersman 07-02-2002 09:18 AM

BEER IS BAD FOR YOU ,

I hereby declare that Gametavern should serve only orange juice and lemonade...and no one should even remotely mention beer.

Or be whipped.

So says Fingersman!!!

My bad. I thought you meant glass was the glass bottle. But my vote changes then to can, bottle, glass. Damn staying up too late, makes you think weird.:D

gekko 07-02-2002 01:39 PM

Bottle, glass, can.

TheGame 07-02-2002 01:47 PM

Beer Sucks... I don't see the point of drinking it. It would be one thing if it tasted good.

I would just like to point out one thing. I have 2 uncles who drink a LOT. Especially when they get together. They have been drinking for a long time, prolly since they were underage. While they like to drink, they are both good people with good jobs, and kids, and they live normal lives. What im trying to say is that just because you drink dosent mean you go around acting like an ass, and get into car wrecks and live half assed lives. Sometimes, yes, but sometimes, no. That is all.

You would have to be pretty sad to drink if it doesn't taste good.

And I think beer is good.

Joeiss 07-02-2002 04:02 PM

Bottles all the way. Why pour it, if you can just drink it? Oh, and from the tap would be my third, in front of cans. :D

Since the post in the Canada Day thread was aimed at me, then please reply to the post I made aimed to you in the same thread. ;)

And beer tastes good. Molson Canadian is my favourite, followed by Molson Export. Everybody that drinks with me likes the taste of beer, which is why we drink it.

Here here! :)

Angrist 07-02-2002 04:55 PM

I think I'm still getting used to the taste... after maybe 50 beers I still don't really like it. I like it in a mix though. Last time I mixed it with Lipton Ice Tea Sparkling, delicious!

I think that you should know that you shouldn't be drinking beer when you have to mix it with something else to get a "good" taste. Beer isn't something that you mix with. You are supposed to drink it straight, not mixed.

Angrist 07-02-2002 05:13 PM

Well, I like it mixed. And after work, I do like it (from the can). Just when I'm not really tired and thirsty... dunno.

Drunk Hobbit 07-02-2002 05:13 PM

None of you are over 21 and in fact most of you are younger than me and are "experts" on beer. Sad.

Angrist 07-02-2002 05:16 PM

Like I said, you have to be 16 here to drink beer and wine, and 18 to drink stronger stuff like vodka and whiskey. I had my first (serious) beer when I was almost 16. My lidl bro just had his first beers a few weeks ago, while he's almost 15.

*Ponders moving to holland*

Angrist 07-02-2002 05:36 PM

lol. You know, the best stuff is made in Holland! The best beer (Heineken, although I prefer Amstel), the best cheese, the best ehm wooden shoes , the best windmills and the best weed and XTC! :D

 I hate drugs.

Gekko to me, beer has the nastiest taste, but I'm sure I can get used to it... but seeing what it did to my friends I don;t wanna get used to it.

manasecret 07-02-2002 08:45 PM

Tap, Mug, Glass

I don't drink beer much, but there are certain beers that taste good. For some it's the mainstream stuff, for others it's the less known or microbrewed stuff. We have a local microbrewery that makes beer called Saint Arnold, and I and pretty much everyone who has tried it loves the stuff.

But I'm no expert (duh). Though I do know some beers that have gotten many recommendations, such as Fat Tire, something I think is called Buffalo Butt (seriuosly), and some of the microbrewed Colorado beers (can't remember their names). I'd recommend Saint Arnold but unless you're in Houston TX or like within a 300 mile radius you won't find it.

It doesn't happen often, but sometimes I just have a craving for a beer. Yeah, that probably sounds like an addiction, but I probably haven't had a craving in over half a year. When I do it's usually after doing some hard work in the sun or something..

So, anyway, I vote Something Else.

Just make sure it's not mainstream stuff for Colorado. Coors Light is the worst beer I've had in my life.

Beer and peanuts. Mmm... :burger:

What about those Twister dealies? You know, they're like beer mixed with some sort of fruit juice (cranberry, etc.) and they sell them as quarts. I like them anyways .

As for the question, I'd say bottle, glass, can.

I'm not really a frequent drinker or anything, but I have some of the alcohol every now and again. Also when I drink, I don't get "loaded" because I don't see the point in paying for beer and then puking it back up again ;) (not my idea of a good time). Best beer out there is Alexander Keith's (or Keith's for short). Right there you're getting some of that good Nova Scotian ale :D.

Angrist 07-03-2002 03:47 AM

How do you guys drink it from a tap? You just keep your mouth under it or something??? I mean when you tap it you put it in a glass right?

D-Man 07-03-2002 09:19 PM

Can, Bottle, Glass

I had my graduation party last week, didn't sleep until 7 in the morning, and I was working night shift the day later. :\

Anyways, what was really popular was Smirnoff Ice, but those cost alot. Something similar is the new Vodkice thing here in Quebec. But as for beer, I like the Labatt Blue and the Molson Dry.
