Kameo is also suppose to come out by spring, I suppose they just ported over their current work, because thats pretty soon for Rareware...

Hmm.... I do too wonder how Rare's games will be showcased on the Xbox. Do you think that they will be playable versions, or just videos? If they are playable, I wonder if they were built from the ground up, or just a port. If it was from the ground up, it just makes you wonder how long Rare and Microsoft have been in talks.

Thank god for Capcom and Sega, or that lineup would be really boring.

Lil' more cartoonish then I though it would be, since the old PD0 demo was really good. But, meh, at least its not cel shaded...yet...

I don't think Joanna looks too bad... it is a bit more cartoony than I'd expect to see from PD, but at least she doesn't look fugly like she did before ;)

Toe Jam and Earl III better come out for Ps2 or gamecube >:(

I believe I heard that Toe Jam and Early 3 will be Xbox exclusive... ;o

With the exception of Monkey Ball... Sega has been extremly crappy as of late. As for Capcom... they haven't done anything spectacular either... but wowweee... they got some Capcom vs. Somthing ports and Resident Evil 2 and 3 ports coming!!!!

Looks as though the Xbox line up has spiced up a lot since Rare announced their games :).

I like the new Joanna art too, it kind of deviates quite a bit from that lesbian look. The look kind of reminds me of Timesplitters.

The new Joanna look looks better than last..PD was the only Rare game i felt was super great

Now that pic doesnt actually mean she'll turn out like that. It could simply be that. Just someones artwork of joanna dark.

personally i dont like it. personally i didnt like how she looked before. she has character in this pic. i like..... she looked more realistic before. which i liked.

But right now id say out of thoes pics....... The girl from Kameo looks like she'd make a better looking joanna dark then the joanna dark pic does (differntly dressed and minus the wings of course)

will be interesting to see how she ends up tho. cuz i dont think it will be looking like that pic.

Rare jus totally messed up the whole Perfect Dark franchise with this crappy cartoony look to Joanna.

LOL!!! Oh yes!! A couple of pictures of concept art that may not even make it into the game ruined an entire franchise!! After all how the main character looks is so important when playing and FPS.:rolleyes:

i thought perfect dark was supposed to have that dark feeling to it? Can a cartoonish looking game give you that same feeling?

Anyway, yes, thats my main concern. The old J.D., while maybe not as pretty, what a little less anime and a little more edge. That cold feeling of the realistic one from the demo a few years back is really what made the chachter to me...

I find it funny that Nintendo fans are complaining about a game looking "too cartoony". Oh what a tangled web we weave...

What is that suppose to mean? PD is not really SUPPOSE to be cartoony. At least, I would have less expectaions.

Unlike games such as Zelda, which probably wount change much no matter how you put it...

What its supposed to mean is that Nintendo fans are now trying to find anything to complain about when it comes to Rare games in a futile effort to convince themselves that they won't miss Rare as a developer.

IMO, neither game is kiddy, neither game is supposed to be bright or Cartoony. I jumped on Zelda's back when I saw videos of it in action... just like I will jump on PD's back if the whole game is cartooned down.

I doubt it will be that bad though, Joanna will be younger, yes, meaning she will need a new design. But I doubt the whole game will turn cartoonish. Even it it were, I'd stil buy it, just like I'm still going to buy Zelda.

I wish GT never had those forum resets (2)... I would just search for the word Rare, and see how opinions have changed... Hell, I tried it, and I found more then enough examples to make a thread bashing the peeps who suddenly started to hate Rare...

I won't do that though, to save GT from any more drama, but if this Rare bashing continues there isn't much of a choice.

For all we know, the rest of the game might look fairly realistic... I mean at least it's not gonna be as cartoony as Zelda on NGC... which, BTW, Nintendo fans said was "NOT SUPPOZED TO BE CARTOONIE!11!" when it was first revealed, now it seems like a majority has accepted it and thinks it looks nice (It is some dern good cel-shadin', lemme tell you ^-^ )...

As for Perfect Dark... it's not SUPPOSED to not be cartoony and realistic... I mean, look at Elvis... he looked/sounded like something you'd see in some kind of cartoon :sneaky:

But yeah uhh... I could see how a slight cartoon touch could not be a negative thing for PD... although I think if they ever made it something like Zelda (which I doubt they will :p ) that could be kinda... weird... :hmm:
