I'll get my hands on it eventually...I'm low on spending cash right now, mainly because I (along with 2 friends) bought Tiger Woods 2004 and they haven't paid me their share yet. So I'm seeing them tonight to collect the money the hard way :mad2:

and SSX was built for the PS2 controller. It's perfect for it. SSX3 is no different, and the online play is a big booster

I'm pro at SSX3. I've almost maxed out Nate. I've been playing as almost all the characters but have palyed the most with Nate ,Kaori and Moby.

Today I beat Dyne in a trick competition. And I was using a dance pad. There are no shoulder buttons on a dance pad. I'm just that good.

Yeah, it's really, really fun. I hope to get it. This is the kind of stuff I would be testing at EA.. that's going to rock. =D BTW, my EA tester friend tested this game. I'm going to get his full name to look for in the credits. He's been talking about it. He scored a hell of a lot of points in the Peak 3 halfpipe.

ah peak 3 half pipe.

my highest so far, a little over 910,000

42nd place over all online. I hope to break 1 mil in points in a few days.

i think number 1 score on that half pipe online is like 1,250,000

I just unlocked the peak 3 halfpipe and I was wondering if you guys have figured out how to get to the upper level of it.

Hahaha. My highest on the Peak 3 pipe is 912 thousand something. Owned. The onlyreason Dyne won the race is becasue I flew out of bounds near the end.

I played it in a store waiting for a Tony Hawk tourney. This game puts all other snow board games to shame, EA is starting to become an awesome developer.

I think like you Null, but EA around 2 years ago was the most bashed developer I have seen. I dunno, maybe you just get haters when you become that damn good ;)

yes, but I got the XBox version... I got T.H.U.G. for Ps2 the same day.

I suck at SSX, but how's the online play for it? Is it just one on one or more?

Uh..one minute once you start the game. 10-20 seconds to get into the lodge and just a few seconds for each event.

So it's not too bad.

Hehe, I just got Tony Hawk 4 for the Cube yesterday. It was only $15 :eek: Dunno why it's that cheap, TH3 wasn't even that cheap!
I also got FF Origins for the PSX. :D Only $10...

Is THUG really much different? I don't really like the idea of driving cars, but walking around sounds good. :)

Oh yeah, a SSX3 thread... ehm I really really wonder how 1080° will do.... :unsure:

I don't see the point of 1-on-1 online. When it's 4-8 players it will feel like more of a big LAN game from your house. 1-on-1 is better than nothing, so I can't really complain.

To Canyarion:
THUG is nothing like any other Tony Hawk game. You are playing the main guy's career, not just completing some random tasks like in the older games. There are still missions, but they have more purpose. This game is comparable to the change (story wise) from the first Zelda game to OoT. In THPS3 you do things for no apparent reason, in THUG everything has a reason.

I must say, by the way, that the controls are nasty when not on the skateboard.
