Halo 2 and Xbox Live
 

I was just wondering:

1. Who plans on buying Halo 2? (Also, are you getting it on release or some other day?)
2. If you're buying it, do you plan on playing online?
3. If so, interested in some kind of clan or engaging in clan activity?


I'll be getting Halo 2 on release, will not be going live with it until around christmas. I want to play it online when I can, and I'd definitely be interested in some kind of clan if others are interested (either we can start one, or we all join a clan that already exists).

I'll probably be getting it on or close to launch day but I still need to pre-order. I will most definitly be playing it on Live and sure I'd join a clan. There's some people around here I know that would join up if we needed any more.

When(if) I buy an Xbox around Christmas, Halo 2 is a for sure thing, so i would be in, because I would probably get Live.

Is live like, a separate monthly fee than your origional internet cost? Or is it just as long as you have the internet, you can plug in live?

As far as I know, when you buy the starter kit, it'll give you a certain amount of time to play before they start charging a credit card. Some are 3 months, I think the regular one is a full year.

I'll get it just to make sure my Xbox still works. I'll probably get it during the Christmas rush.

Don't know if I wanna join any clans, but here's some cool info about them.

From the new EGM H2 article:

Clans can be up to a 100 members.
Hierachy system like RS3BA.Overlord,staff,members,peons.
Every clan gets a private homepage,private forums and more at bungie.net
Medal will be awarded at the end of every match...ie.Running Riot,Melee Kills

If you go into ranked games where it matches you with people of your own player rank, all those games will be hosted on Bungie servers

btw Halo 2 got a 9.7 from OXM....which doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot cause OXM sucks. But hey that's a great score regardless.

I saw some guy bringing home a brand-new Xbox today on the bus. I asked him if it were for Halo 2.. he said yes. That makes 4 people I know buying Xboxes for Halo 2 right now.

We're getting the Crystal Xbox up here in Canada.. I'm thinking of buying that because I don't want my Thomson Xbox to crap out on me for no reason.

Judging by preorders alone, I don't think Bungie is worrying one bit. I actually think thy're more worried about how many Xbox's their game pushes.

I mean from a moral standpoint. Of course they're not worried about sales, but for the people who worked on it that really put their all into the game to make it awesome, so much hype could really bring that down. That's what I was implying.
