Da Vinci Code movie altered to appease conservatives

Anyone who follows the bible doesn't have the right to refer to something else as "historically flawed."

Im actually Catholic (although I almost never go to church anymore), some of the Catholic beliefs are so rediculous. They shouldt worry about what the Catholics think and just make the movie how its suppoused to be made. Havent they ever heard of freedom of speech?

The "historically flawed" part is because the book claims that all this **** is true, even though there is proof that it isn't. If the book didn't have the disclaimer at the start claiming that the different organizations were true, it wouldn't be quite as outrageous.

Well, people are morons, but I can't blame sony. There's too many Catholics to offend to risk losing a big chunk of your box office.

OHHH. On my way home from work today, I saw a movie arrow with "DAVINCI" written on it. And checking IMDB, apparently it's filming right now.

2 + 2 = aviator!

...So ridiculous. From a buisiness standpoint, I can understand why.

What makes me angry is that movie makers need to do things like this because the general population is stupid enough to cry out against it otherwise.

Historically flawed my ass...when read correctly the Bible is the greatest supporter of athiesm.

Is that true? I've actually never set eyes on the inside of a bible.

Well you can get them as free as a buck some places.

I don't want to get into discussion, but as you read the first few pages you'll probably be skeptical. The new testament is a little more believable, which is why my church probably only uses that.

Re: Da Vinci Code movie altered to appease conservatives

i studied in catholic schools for half my life, and suffice to say, from what i believe, many of the stories are just that, stories, enlarged and hyped to create incredible tales. I do believe a guy named Jesus lived a while back, but not that he's the son of god, i believe there was a giant storm, but not that noah built an ark that outclassed the titanic by a mile. I see the bible as a book of allegories, stories that teach a particular aspect or morale such as altruism or kindness to take a publication that had been handed down by word of mouth for hundreds of years and translate it literally is rather retarded.

just my opinion

Gimpy's got a lot of it right. The Bible is a lot of metaphors, but people don't realize it. Many stories were probably compiled to teach a lesson, and through time the fact that they were fictional, or even legends, were forgotten.

How the Bible is the greatest supporter of Atheism is still beyond me. What's the reasoning behind that?
